As another native in this thread, I want to say that headdresses are not costumes or fashion accessories, they hold spiritual and cultural significance for many of our Indigenous communities. They are often only worn by respected leaders who have earned the right to wear them through their significant achievements.
You are taking elements of a culture that is not your own, and without understanding or respecting the cultural context or significance of those elements.
This should be deleted. As a native, it's disgusting that you would use something so sacred to a community. Get help, educate yourself and do us all the service of removing this. It was just Indigenous People's day.
For all the identity politics/CRT enthusiasts in the comments, here's a quote taken directly from the author's description for the pride bumper sticker mod that went up a couple of days ago: "If you don't like the mod or don't understand why others would want it, it's super simple to just leave the page." kthxbye
Agreed. Thank you. "...replaces the Aztec winter beanie"
This game touches depravity, poverty, speaks to significant mental illness, depression, loneliness, over sexualization and corporate overreach, far beyond any government I've experienced. The stand made for racism and cultural appropriation, in the cp77 crowd, going to be difficult to gain any traction.
I did do some reading about the headdress, its origins and meaning. Fascinating!
Time to grab my samurai boots, my kimono and murder things.
