About this mod

A quiet continuation of Ghosts of Night City, this mod adds small, handcrafted scenes across the city, moments of solitude, routine, grief, and resilience. These aren't legends or headlines, just glimpses into the lives of people when no one is watching. Ordinary stories in an extraordinary city.

A partial sequel to my mod Ghosts of Night City - Small Immersive Encounters. this mod explores the themes of resilience, loss, and the will to keep going in a city that never stops grinding people down. These encounters are subtle and scattered, snapshots of lives unfolding just out of sight. From a small grave in the Badlands visited by a famous superstar, to body parts stuffed in a cardboard box, to a man on a one-sided mission to expose Arasaka—these stories remind us that not everyone in Night City is a legend. Most are just trying to survive.

Focusing on telling a story each with every encounter, these locations are aimed to be integrated seamlessly into your game.

WHAT'S LEFT OF LIZZY
Each night, between midnight and 2am, Lizzy Wizzy disappears from the lights of Night City and makes her way to a lonely grave in the Badlands. Buried beneath the dust is a man she once loved—someone she later had a hand in destroying. At first, she visited out of guilt. A fragile gesture of remorse. But the longer she sat at his grave, the less she felt. Sympathy curdled into rage. Grief twisted into something darker.
Now, she returns night after night, not to mourn, but to revel in the emptiness that’s taken root inside her. She stares into the dirt like it might stare back. Silent. Motionless. Unreachable. Her bodyguard waits in the van, always watching, always worried. He knows this ritual isn't healing her. He knows she's not coming back from this.
If you approach, she won't even notice you. Or maybe she does, and just doesn't care. Either way, you're witnessing the slow unravelling of someone who once touched the stars—and now can't feel a thing.

SHE NEVER SAW IT COMING
Outside Mega Building Ten, tucked between garbage and concrete, Evaline sits cross-legged on a stained mattress, tarot cards laid carefully before her. A small box rests at her side, its contents pitiful spare change. If Misty’s Esoterica couldn’t make ends meet, Evaline never stood a chance.
She offers to read the future, her voice soft, almost hopeful. But people pass by without stopping. Some recoil at the sight of her inky fingers, as if misfortune might rub off. No one asks her name. No one stays to listen.
So she waits. Every day. In the shadow of the city’s filth and noise. Hoping someone, anyone, might care to know what lies ahead. All while never knowing what lies ahead for her. The cards speak to everyone—except the one who holds them.

CRAZY MILO
That’s what they call him. Crazy Milo. Just another broken man shouting outside Arasaka Tower. Every single day he stands there, holding an old machette, demanding justice for a woman the world has long forgotten—his mother. She died when the tower fell, burned to nothing in the nuclear blast. They never found her body. They never looked. He yells at passing corpos. Shouts into the noise. “Death to corpos,” over and over, like a cracked record stuck on the only words he still believes in. Most people ignore him. Some throw things. A few laugh. One morning, Hanako Arasaka walked past on her way to work. An aide asked if the man should be removed. She smirked. Said no. He was nothing. A joke. And that made it even funnier to her. So he stays. Day after day. Not because he thinks anyone will listen. Not because he believes Arasaka will answer for what they’ve done. But because it’s all he has left. A mother with no grave, and a protest no one hears.

SHE SWUNG UNTIL HE STOPPED MOVING
Behind Lizzie’s Bar, the alley is quiet now. Just the sound of distant traffic and the drip of old rain from a rusted pipe. A man lies in the dirt, his face shattered and unrecognisable. A broken jaw. Blood pooling beneath his head. A pimp. The joytoy he was chasing ran screaming, clothes torn, eyes wide with terror. He caught her in the alley. Thought she was alone. Thought she wasn’t with the Mox. He was wrong.

The Mox waitress came out back for a smoke. Saw him. Heard the girl scream. And swung. The bat cracked against his skull. Once. Twice. Again. She didn’t stop. Not until he was nothing but pulp and silence. Now she stands over his body, breathless, the bat still in her hand. Not afraid. Not ashamed. Just done.
That was the last time someone made the mistake of thinking a joytoy without backup was fair game. Not here. Not at Lizzie’s.

THE SMELL OF CHLORINE
In a tucked-away NorCal corner store in The Glen, V wrinkled his nose. The place stank. Not just the usual rot and piss—this was sharp, chemical, something wrong. They asked the vendor what the hell it was. The guy smiled too quickly, muttered something about cleaning the floors. V didn’t buy it. But their phone buzzed. Judy. “Fuck it,” they muttered, and left. Later, behind the store, a homeless woman picked through the bins. Same as she did every night. Digging for scraps. Hope. Anything.

She didn’t expect much, just something to fill the ache in her stomach. Then she saw the boxes. Soaked through. Red leaking into the concrete. At first, she thought it was rotten meat. Maybe a butcher’s dump. But then she saw the toys on top. A plastic car. A rubik's cube. Curiosity became horror. She lifted the lid. Her scream echoed into the dark, bouncing off the alley walls. No one came. The vendor kept smiling the next day. Floors freshly cleaned.

This is designed to be seamless in your game but if you want locations look here:
