Reading through the cname's file, it's pretty apperant that the entire cname system is a generic symbol system(think Enum's), rather than an actual representation of sound names. For example: "rangedAttack", "weaponShoot", "questForceOff", "OnSwitchToMetricSystem", etc. Are clearly not audio-related, but gameplay related(there's more than 'one' shooting audio after all, and there's no cname for specific gun audio that I can see).
i noticed this in the witcher 3 but sometimes certain sound bites could only be played during certain events in the game, not specifically areas but rather whatever the event is considered by the game, i believe in W3 there were 3-4 event types cutscene, movie, gameplay, maybe in-game cutscene? dont remember also these had sub categories like gameplay-combat or gameplay-swimming
Could this somehow, help fix the missing sound in the finisher animation of the gorilla arms for male V? The finisher animation sound works in female V but not with the male voice, I dunno why, but, it's so goddamn irritating.
That sounds like a missing asset to me. I searched adamsmasher dump for gorilla, didn't get a match, so it would take some digging to see how that sound is triggered

I searched a bit on discord, didn't see much for adding new sounds
There's a couple mods in that audio category that replace existing sounds (most are just custom radio stations)
Maybe there's a way, I don't know how

I've removed it from the latest release, in favor of the strings from the json file (part of the FilterCNames download)
A lot more of the names in the json file work, but there are so many that it's tedious to search for what you want
I was planning to make a little utility that helps filter based on search terms. I've just been busy with other stuff lately
