About this mod

You're not gonna leave the house dressed like that! Your whole tires are showing! And what's with those rims? You playing ultimate frisbee now?

Incoherent Rambling
The Quadra Turbo. Decent enough car, isn't it? But what about those open wheels? That makes absolutely no sense! I mean if spraying water in the rain or throwing gravel in the badlands doesn't convince you how about picking up homeless person manure and flinging it at a nearby Tyger Claw? V may survive that, but the next person is probably lucky if they only get a broken faceplate out of that.

"Nope, just nope."

And all just because Quadra didn't feel like covering up those wheels. Also the front rims are ugly.

I've added the wheel covers of the Quadra Turbo VTech to the regular R-740 and deformed them somewhat to make them look a little less bulky
while still providing enough cover. The front wheels are now altered (narrower and slightly smaller) copies of the rear wheels. The VTech got unique wider front wheels in the same style as the rear wheels - they were shared with the R-740 before.

"Hell, yeah!"

Also I gave both the R-740 and VTech a little wider track. Especially the rear wheels of the R-740 were kinda hiding before. What's that you're asking, Jimmy? Doesn't that contradict everything I've said about covered wheels and such? Well, shut up, Jimmy! That's why nobody likes you!

What This Is
Wheel covers and front rims - you did read the title, right?

The dark green color and gun metal rims is an optional recolor of the player version of the R-740.

This mod contains no performance changes of the Quadra Turbo.

Options
"I'm giving you options, honey."

Any of the optional packages may work as standalone without the main package as well. I haven't checked, though, and please don't bug me if they don't.

RECOLOR PLAYER R 740
Recolor for the player version of the R-740 as shown in the screenshots. (Kinda like) British racing green for the body and gun metal grey for the rims.

FRISBEE WHEELS
In case you not only like the original frisbee front wheels, but indeed like them so much, you want them in back as well.

V-TECH NO REAR FENDER EXTENSIONS
This removes the rear fender extensions from the Turbo V-Tech and pulls in the slightly narrower rear wheels. Use this if you dislike the propped on rear wheel extensions. Don't bug me if you think this hurts the overall appearance of the V-Tech, because I agree and don't use this myself.

UNALTERED WHEEL COVERS FOR R-740
This changes the front wheel covers to be exactly the same as on the V-Tech. If you use a setup with lowered suspension for the Quadra Turbo and experience clipping of the front wheels this may help.

MOST COMPATIBLE WHEEL SPACING
This is my best attempt to alter the wheel positions on the front and back in a way that they're not "hiding" under the fenders, but still give you the most freedom to lower the suspension. Together with the unaltered wheel covers this should support up to 0.07 lower suspension with no or little clipping. The third tier suspension option of the Car Modification Shop mod lowers the suspension by 0.03 by default.

Of course if you lower the suspension, it needs to be stiffer too - like in a real car. If you just lower the suspension by 0.07 and don't do anything else, you'll not only experience clipping of the wheels through the fenders, but most likely clipping of the car body into the ground as well. Just don't ask me for support with that.

VANILLA WHEEL SPACING
This reverts the wheel spacing to the vanilla values. Use this if you like it better if the wheels are nicely tucked under the fenders.

Compatibility
This mod will conflict with everything that edits the Quadra Turbo's front wheel meshes, body meshes, chassis mesh, so basically everything that tries to edit the same things as this mod.

Tweak mods that alter the performance, grip etc. will coexist perfectly fine.

Known Issues
Since the default suspension of the Quadra Turbo is pretty soft, there is some clipping under hard braking. That actually happens with the unedited model as well, though.

This kinda supports Crystal Coat and it kinda doesn't. Meaning the body of the car will take the selected color including the front wheel covers. The front wheels however will not. They will actually show some weird text that comes from ... somewhere. I will not investigate this or make any attempt to improve it, because I think Crystal Coat is terrible and makes cars look cartoonish, flat and ugly.

I had to alter the chassis to stop the hubs from poking through the front rims. Now if you look through the bottom of the car, there are some areas where you can see the sky. Dunno how much of that is my fault and really, how often do look at the bottom of cars anyway? :D

For the recolor I didn't recolor the low poly proxy mesh, so from a distance that will still be that weird blue.

Installation
Just drop the contents of the zip file into your game's root folder like a caveperson or use a mod manager of your choice.
