In the Bozo tradition — which is hilarious, straight until it explodes.
The origin of a clown's red nose is largely unclear, if not outright lost. Purportedly, a circus clown tripped on his own costume, and broke his nose, turning it remarkably red with blood. Another, much tamer story involves the creation of the Auguste persona, one of the most common, and popular, clown archetypes.
In Night City, however, this is not without risk. Whatever tomfoolery you're up to, make sure you're the last clown standing.
