Hah, not bad. In the pictures it's so seamless I wouldn't have noticed anything was different without being told; I wonder if that also says a bit about me being too familiar with DX HR.
Anyway, I think the title should say Deus Ex: Human Revolution Themed Palette. I thought it was going to be a palette for Deus Ex, and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided doesn't use this palette either. DX HR is NOT the first or original Deus Ex, saying "Deus Ex" doesn't refer to it.
Quick question about your preset: You specify "Launch the game, open the HUD Painter menu and activate the DXYELLOW preset" Easy, I installed HudPainter and its prerequisites, obviously.
I have the Menu in the Mod Settings But there is no option to load a preset! The description of use in Hud Painter is nebulous and does not indicate where this option is.
Could you enlighten me? Thanks in advance.
Note: Your preset can bring comfort to the game, because indeed the color Red, since the dawn of time, is synonymous with danger, for the good reason that it is already used in the animal and insect worlds. It is a DNA natural acquisition.
Writing in red is unreadable except by making intense cerebral efforts and more particularly for those who wear glasses ^^ It should only be used in the margins of a text.
It is very effective, especially in the school world
Hi djkovrik! Would you happen to know which "color" controls the blue color used in dialogue choices that don't advance the dialogue, but contain extra context/information? For example (grabbed this from YouTube):
I really like the world map but in my own honest opinion its a bit TOO much yellow. I think adding a contrast in would do a lot more to make the world map more readable. I think I would enjoy the map a little more if it were a dark grey, or something that isn't melding too much with the Icons since my entire screen just went really bright with yellow whenever I opened the map.
In theory a yellowish green is considered the most visible and easiest for the human eye to discern. The colours of this mod are chosen to harmonize more than contrast, but still manages the latter pretty well. The map has a bit of room for improvement from a purely practical point of view, but it's clearly a vast improvement over vanilla and better than any other map mod I've seen.
No plans to change anything at the moment, but codeware and redscript might get some new stuff to improve resource files handling even further, then it will be possible to make some values configurable.
@djkovrik That's fantastic! Perhaps consider including a "No Buildings" option as well (particularly good if possible as an in-game filter)? Reading the map can be a massive pain due to buildings blocking the view of the roads. Will track the mod for now thank you.
No buildings does not look doable from scripts side but there will be a lot of color options (as well as contrast and saturation). I'll leave curent recoloring here as a standalone mod and config will be a part of the next HUD Painter update.
Seems to work really well with Streamlined HUD by ctxrlsec. They also have a DX theme but I think this might cover more elements including the world map and is user configurable too.
For anyone not getting the full theme when loading the preset, restart the game, worked for me.

Don't be nasty to me, I'm an old lady.
But I'll happily take it anyway. ^ - ^
