MODULAR NETRUNNER HEAD PORT AND RECOLORS

This mod allows you to select colors for each part of the cyberware - the cyberware itself, the silicone border, the lights, decals, and rivets - in a modular fashion. The materials - namely, the normal map (kindly provided by halkuonn - thank you!) and mlmask - have been upscaled and improved. Please note that the mesh is slightly altered from the original found in the files, and though I adjusted it to try and fit it to go over hairs as best I can, there will inevitably be clipping with certain hairs.

Due to the sheer size of this mod, I've chosen to only offer a handful of decal options at this time. More options overall may be added in the future, so please track this page if you'd like to be informed of updates.

There are so many possible combinations for this mod that CatCom created a PSD file that allows you to view different cyberware, silicone, and rivet color combinations! It can be downloaded from the "Miscellaneous Files" section.

All colors were taken from The Community Palette Project and are named after the section of the palette the colors come from, i.e. violet, blue, rose, et cetera. Naturally, The Community Palette Project is a requirement for this mod to function as intended. There are also optional compatibility files for use with MeltingAngels' Deep Dive Port cyberware and lights recolors, which can be found in the "Optional" files section.

I created this as a branch-off from a mod I had been working on to alter a hair specifically for this cyberware: ENCRYPTED - A Modular Netrunner Hair. Please check out that mod if you'd like a hairstyle that is made to work with this cyberware! It's the first in a planned series of Netrunner-cyberware-centric hairstyles.

Finally, I made this mod in such a way that all parts of the materials can be easily overridden without having to touch the mesh at all. For fellow mod authors, I have included the filepaths to all of the materials on this page as well as a download for the default set of materials, so that additional compatible recolors may be made. I have also added a "decal" layer to the cyberware, which will let you add stickers and such; UV maps to reference for placement are included in the aforementioned materials file. Please feel free to release recolors for public use, but do not include the base files/meshes for this mod; refer mod users to this page to download them and list this mod as a requirement.

INSTALLATION:
BASE FILES:
  • Ensure that all requirements have been downloaded and installed appropriately.
  • Choose a base file that is appropriate for your character's frame. They are named using the following scheme: JSILVERHVND_#WIRED_zBase_[MV/FV]_[Slot##]. The highlighted portions are the ones most crucial to pay attention to.
    - Do not alter the name of any of this mod's archives unless you know what you are doing. The # and z are there to ensure that the files load in the appropriate order.
    - The "slot" at the end of the file name notes which slot (01-10) of Nim's More Head Meshes the file utilizes. Ensure you do not choose a base file for a slot that is already being utilized by another mod you have installed.
  • Install your chosen base file to your Cyberpunk 2077/archive/pc/mod folder.

COLOR FILES:
  • There are 64 cyberware color options, four from each of The Community Palette Project's sixteen palettes. Each color option is available with either a black or white accent, making for a total of 128 cyberware colors to choose from. Install only one cyberware color option at a time.
NOTE: If you do not choose a cyberware color file, the cyberware will be the default color from the game files.
  • Choose a cyberware color option from the "WIRED Cyberware Colors" file. The archives are named using the following scheme: JSILVERHVND_#WIRED_CyberwareColor_[Color][Black/White]. The highlighted portions will inform you which color (one of the 64 available options) and which accent (either black or white) it contains.
  • Install your chosen cyberware color file to your Cyberpunk 2077/archive/pc/mod folder.

OTHER OPTIONS:
  • Silicone, rivets, lights, and decal colors are installed in a similar manner to the above files. Only one of each option can be installed at a time (one silicone color, one rivet color, one lights color, and one decal color). If a given option is not installed, it will default to the vanilla appearance from the game files.
  • The lights are quite bright. An option for "no lights" has been provided, for accessibility and ease of taking photos.
  • Likewise, an option for "no decals" has also been provided. There will not be an option for no silicone as it would make the cyberware appear to float off of the head at best.
  • Install any chosen color options to your Cyberpunk 2077/archive/pc/mod folder.

UNINSTALLING:
  • Remove all archives beginning with "JSILVERHVND_#WIRED" from your Cyberpunk 2077/archive/pc/mod folder.
MOD AUTHORS:
As mentioned above, this mod was constructed in such a way that its parts can be easily overridden without needing to touch the mesh. If you would like to create recolors for either personal or public release, go ahead! There is a download with the default materials and textures as well as UV maps for decals located in the "Miscellaneous" files of this mod. (I have not included the upscaled normal map as it is not mine to give away.) Again, please do not include the base/mesh files with your mods; direct users to download them here instead and list this mod as a requirement.
