Overview
  • A rather ambitious mod attempt of mine. I wanted to see if I could port and recreate the gameplay of the AR2 from HL2 to the best extent possible in Cyberpunk.

  • The weapon is a model port and slight modification of Aperture Aerospace's excellent AR2 model and textures. It uses a modified version of the ajax rig and the ajax animations which are... fine. The idle pose is a bit off and the reload animations are a bit weird but otherwise the animations don't look too bad with the model.

  • The stats are heavily customized to reflect the HL2 gunplay by making a pseudo Tech/Power hybrid. Primary fire is full auto hitscan with no ricochet. The secondary fire is a fully customized approximation of the AR2 altfire with the mesh and textures ported by myself from source SDK. The Comball ricochets and, while it doesn't continue bouncing after hitting an enemy, it does "disintegrate" them through a greatly increased charge multiplier and applying the blackwall quickhack on hit.

  • The REDmod package also includes firing sounds ripped straight from the sourceSDK.

Known Issues:
  • Yeah, the animations and idle pose are a bit funky but that's not something I've been able to fix yet.
  • Due to how REDmod sound replacement works, this will also replace sounds on the Masamune as well
