About this mod
Replaced 'Tier' based generic component names with more immersive alternatives.
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
- Donations
English only, but I included a source folder for a Wolfenkit project if anyone wants to tackle translations.
I tried to balance techno babble with names that match the icons in the Backpack view and technologies of increased complexity.
Suggestions welcome...
The names I currently have mapped are:
Crafting Components:
Tier 1 - Recycled Hardware Kit
Tier 2 - Composite Weaved Batteries
Tier 3 - Universal Microcomputer Units
Tier 4 - Multipurpose Electromagnetic Actuators
Tier 5 - Bioengineered Neurosynaptic Processor
Quickhack components:
Tier 2 - Super Conducting Interface
Tier 3 - Photonic Memchip
Tier 4 - Quantum Transcriptor
Tier 5 - Gold Plated Diagnet Expansion Chip
(strangely, there is no Tier 1 Quickhack components in the loot list).
Item quality:
Tier 1 - Worn out
Tier 2 - Second hand
Tier 3 - Well maintained
Tier 4 - Factory new
Tier 5 - Supercharged
Cyberware upgrade:
Tier 1 - Street job
Tier 2 - Bio Fitted
Tier 3 - Trauma Silver Certified
Tier 4 - Trauma Gold Certified
Tier 5 - Trauma Platinum Certified
As usual, this mod wouldn't be possible without the awesome help from the Cyberpunk 2077 Discords.
Translations:
The mod currently supports:
- English
- German
- Italian
- Brazilian Portuguese
- Czech
- Russian
For new translations:
- The text based JSON file for the mod is available on github at: https://github.com/SkyrimLL/Cyberpunk2077/tree/main/ImmersiveComponents
- Create a project in Wolfenkit with the same folder structure
- Rename the 'en-us.json.json' file to another translation file like 'fr-fr.json.json' (it is important to keep the two .json extensions)
- Use the built-in 'Export from JSON' action in Wolfentkit to generate a binary version of the file in your 'archive' folder structure
- Pack and install the mod to use it
