About this mod
This build is for people who like netrunning and/or want to feel like a god in game. This is the most powerful build I have created so far. The build is centered around Synapse Burnout, which will one-shot almost every enemy at very hard difficulty. The build emphasises on Overclock uptime, damage output and healing / RAM regeneration.

This build is centered around Synapse Burnout. There are two reasons for that. First it does the highest damage of any quickhack for a relatively low RAM cost. Furthermore, it does extend Overclock with each kill by 3 seconds. This combination makes it the most optimal to use in a netrunning build.
For netrunning it is critical to stay in Overclock is as long as possible. Overclock is very powerful and allows to keep restoring health / RAM to keep using quickhacks. Therefore, it is important to kill enemies as fast as possible. When not in Overclock mode, you will be quite vulnerable as a netrunner.
With the right setup Synapse Burnout can one-shot most enemies with a single upload on very hard difficulty. Only having to use a single quickhack, compared to multiple, to kill an enemy is beneficial for two main reasons. Firstly, it saves on RAM, but more importantly it kills enemies faster to keep Overclock active.
In an optimized netrunning build you want to have as much health, RAM, health regeneration and RAM regeneration as possible. Health is a resource to use on quickhacks, so it works for both offense as defense. With enough health and RAM / health regeneration you will feel almost invincible.
A combination of armor and damage mitigation will help preserving health to keep using more quickhacks. Reinforced Tendons and Air Dash provide unmatched maneuverability, which allows for fast disengagement in emergencies. Air Dash also helps getting into offensive positions fast.
In conclusion the following components are the most important for netrunning:
- Overclock uptime + Overclock recharge time / invisibility
- Damage output: Quickhack damage + crit damage
- Sustainability: Health / RAM + healing / RAM regeneration
- Damage prevention: Damage mitigation, armor, slow time
- Maneuverability: Double jump + Air Dash
One important aspect of the build is to have % quickhack/crit damage on all cyberware. Each piece of cyberware can have a maximum of 6% quickhack damage and 3.5% crit damage. With 20 pieces that means up to 120% quickhack damage and 70% crit damage which is huge. This helps a lot with one-shotting enemies.
Cyberware pieces with a low cyber capacity cost are invaluable for any optimized build. They keep the total cyber capacity low, while benefiting from the % damage increases and circumventing the steep health reduction from Edgerunner. Only a few expensive, 30+ cyberware capacity, cyberware pieces are worth their cost. See cyber capacity tier list image.
Gameplay Demonstration
How to play
1. Activate Overclock.
2. Use a single Synapse Burnout on every enemy you see.
Against MaxTac/bosses use: Cyberware Malfunction > multiple Synapse Burnout.
3. Activate Optical Camo if Overclock runs out or in emergencies.
