About this mod

A simple gameplay mod that slightly alters the mechanics of the cooking section of the game to hopefully make it a bit more interesting

Permissions and credits
Features:

The basic idea of this mod is to add a little bit more complexity to the restaurant side of the game, which tends to be pretty "hands-off" by default.

  • You now have to serve all customers manually.  This idea already exists in the game but only for the Noble customers, who are rare and don't show up until very late in the game.
  • You also now have to select the recipes you want to cook from the menu, rather than the game just auto-selecting them for you based on what people have ordered.

It's nothing too revolutionary, it's basically just how I expected the game would work when I first played it, but I think it does help to make the restaurant portion feel more engaging.  The lunch and dinner rushes are actually kind of hectic now so you'll want more tables.

Notes:

  • This is only tested under version 1.0.5 of Cuisineer, future releases might break it.  My hope is that eventually the devs will add a feature similar to this so the mod won't be needed.
  • It shouldn't conflict with any other mods unless they specifically change things related to the tweaks above.
  • Special thanks to  p1xel8ted, the creator of the Cuisineer Tweaks mod, which I looked at a fair bit to figure out how to get this working, since this is my first IL2CPP mod.

Installation:

  • Requires BepInEx Bleeding Edge 674 IL2CPP
  • Extract the contents of the release zip into the BepInEx plugin directory. (e.g., `steamapps\common\Cuisineer\BepInEx\plugins` for Steam).
