  • Zombie Model Pack (v1)

    Zombie Model Pack (v1)

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: Kiikunkaakun

Keeping with the idea that providing the best look for your stock version of Crysis is the best way to go, Kiikunkaakun is back to provide some good-looking zombies! The Zombie Model Pack is great if you want to make a zombie mod but the eye monster can walk trough walls and that not so fun. The other guys are cool and would be fun to go up against, one more thing about the eye monster is that, in order to kill it, you need to strangle it with strength then throw it away. The zombies included in this pack are: Zombie Normal zombie. Zombie Alien and alien zombie version (i think it attacks the other zombies.) Zombie Demonical Demon zombie like. Zombie Eye Monster And Zombie With a big eye instead of a head Zombie handweapon A Zombie with a pillar. Zombie normal nohead A normal Zombie without a head. I hope to see this in a playable mod at some point; this looks as though it could throw a nice little spin in the Crysis world of gaming...and make killing the bad guys even that much more fun! Refer to the readme for more information.

    Rainy Days (1.0)

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: CaptainChris

CaptainChris is back with a sequel to his previous map, The Harbour. Rainy Days is a mod that adds a new Singleplayer story that is split among two levels. It is a cinematic experience that takes immerses you in a darker atmosphere. Rain is an integral part of the missions, and it really adds to the gameplay. The total development time for Rainy Days was two years, and the mod includes a brand new environment, professional voice overs, and new/exciting gameplay. The mod focuses on more of a team fighting experience, and your AI teammates will assist you along the way. The tone is darker then the Crysis storyline, providing for a more serious experience One irk is that the voice overs are in German, but don't let that stop you from downloading this gem. The English subtitles are more then enough to make this an enjoyable experience. The quality is great, the immersion is deep, and the overall experience is well worth it Rainy Days - Release Trailer: Rainy Days is the sequel to The Harbour, which can be found here...

    Crytools Launcher (v1.0 Beta)

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: Clivey

For those of you that have installed, and have been using the old Crysis Launcher v0.8 developed by Clivey, can rejoice in the fact that, like anything that gets created invaribly gets improved on! Introducing the next logical step: Crytools Launcher! This asset has now been completely re-coded from scratch, it has some new features like cry backup, multi Cry select, customizable GUI etc. As this is a complete redesign, Clivey has moved the version number from 0.8 (which some of you currently have) to v1.0 and is now called CryTools. I would suggest looking at the video of How to use, just so you understand how the GUI and the backup works. HowToUse.avi Some of the features include: Small compact design Fully Customizable GUI to suit your own needs and style Detects Multiple Cry Files and allows user to select which one to use Backups up Cry files before loading Sandbox for full resiliance or your assets. Compatible with Patch 1.1/SDK/1.2 and Loads levels from Mods Modular in design, so additional plugins will be released in the coming weeks. This file requires .Net 2 Framework installed Refer to the readme for more information.

    EasyLog (1)

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: Clivey

Today we have a useful tool for Crysis, produced by the talented programmer Clivey. It's entitled EasyLog and essentially gives you the option of filtering log files produced by both Sandbox2 and the Crysis game itself. Here's what the developer himself has to say on the application: I wrote this a few weeks ago when I was trying to debug some errors with CryTools and became annoyed at having to keep opening the Editor/game logs and trying to find where the errors were with Crysis, wasting loads of time scanning through an average of 12,000 lines. So I wrote EasyLog and decide to tidy up the GUI today so I could release it as a seperate app to CryTools. The program also includes many more advanced features such as filters defined with .ini files, a fast filter solution, and a log comparison tool, all of which are detailed in the readme located below.

Advanced Particles Mod (Beta | v1.0.1)

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: HavokSage

We have a returning great for your gaming experience! HavokSage has provided his Modification to enhance your Crysis adventure! The Advanced Particles Mod, although still in Beta form, makes for a great time at your computer; This modification changes many common particle effects in Crysis to improve realism, and most importantly, excitement and playability. According to the developer, the Advanced Particles Mod has been in the works for a while now, mainly just tweaking the particles for optimization and making sure they aren't too over the top... Some of the features include: Fire System; when an explosion is close to a house or vegitation, fires will start and eventually die down. Fire now damages the player and AI. Smoke stays for much longer after explosions. Enhanced battle dust; Smoke forms across no mans land. More 3d Particle Physics, Wood splinters, rocks, bits of concrete. All behave with realistic physics and are generated when Buildings, trees, etc are shot/exploded. New Blood effects, more splatter & spatter. Explosion effects optimized for better performance. Many effects have been improved since the early Alpha release. If you want a file to make the kind of changes to your game that will give it that little bit more of a realistic tang, then the Advanced Particles Mod is definitely something that you want to consider downloading! Don't be the only person on your block without this download! Refer to the readme for more information.

  • Mod Spotlight: Frosty Tool Suite

    Frosty Tool Suite
The Frostbite Engine is one of the most powerful game engines around, and the backbone of many of the most popular games. Unless you only play indie games, you've likely played a game running on the Frostbite Engine. Up until recently, however, modding Frostbite Engine games was a daunting task (and by daunting I mean near-impossible).

When GalaxyMan2015 (known as Ehamloptiran here on Nexus Mods) couldn't find the tools to dig into the Frostbite Engin...

  • Staff Picks - 07 June 2017

This week we have enlisted the help of one of our moderators, Jokerine, to fill in for BlindJudge while he is away. She takes a look at cleaning up with command console in Fallout: New Vegas, while SirSalami decides to play The Witcher 3 with some help from Geralt's friends. Our guest submission adds a unique and lore-friendly set of armor to Morrowind and I'll be trying to beat the summer heat in Stardew Valley!

We love to hear the communities picks so keep them comin...

  • Staff Picks - 24th May 2017

This week in our Staff Picks - Terrorfox1234 shows he has a heart and looks to rehome an elderly gentleman, SirSalami goes all Hitman and sneaks around Skyrim dressed in the clothes of his enemies, Svariato decides that they are going to begin sinking oils back like they are shots to grant various powers to their characters and weapons, and I go all John Woo and decide that I'm going to run through the Fallout 4 wasteland taking pot shots at the limbs of all those who offend or attack me!...

This week we have some cracking picks for you all to take a look at. SirSalami has found an incredible dodge mod for Skyrim that not only adds an ability for you to dodge attacks, but also your enemies. I have a Star Wars based mod from nubyplay that I have had great fun checking out (frazzling enemies with lightning or sending them skyward never seems to get old), Terrorfox1234 has multicolored torches with a variety of uses, and Robbie922004 has come through again yet with a great pick and wri...

  • Staff Picks - 03 May 2017

This week they are all picks from within our Bethesda games. Terrorfox couldn't decide on just one mod, so has actually chosen 4 from the same author, all of which add additional beasties or variants of into your Skyrim game. I have chosen a mod that I think really adds a bit of variety to an otherwise annoying (but necessary) part of gaming - fast travel. SirSalami has also addressed one of his gaming pet-peeves of only being able to save a game from retiring to a bed by looking at a mod th...

  • Blog Piece: We're getting an office, and we're hiring

Hello! long time, no...boring you with my long blog pieces.

We're about to post up a news article about us looking to hire two new web programmers. Unlike our previous hire-calls, however, this one is different because it comes with the caveat that the job is based in Exeter, in the south west of England. Why? Because we're setting up an office. Our first office.

Revealing such news comes as bitter-sweet to me. For the past 15 years Nexus Mods (and the names...

This week we're back with some more staff and community picks. I am really pleased to see a submission for a game other than those from the Bethesda series with Minqmay picking one from Legend of Grimrock. SirSalami has this week turned his attention towards a really nice armour mod, Terrorfox1234 has chosen one to help with your sometimes incredibly stupid companions and I have gone back to my childhood and chosen a mod to put posters on the walls.

We love to hear the communiti...

Please fill out the form completely and ensure that you add some details about the mod and why you have chosen it (similar to how our community members have below).

A slightly smaller Staff Picks this week as we go without a guest submission. We have had plenty sent in, but they have only contained a very brief description (usually a sentence or two) about why the the user actually enjoy the mod and what it does. I will post these up in the next few weeks, though probably in a large group. If you are submitting a mod for this feature, please try and include some details as to what makes it special to you and what the mod actually does - a bit like we have b...

This week in the Staff Picks, SirSalami and Terrorfox1234 gain a psychic link and both choose a camera configuration mod that allows easier switching and modification of camera angle, I choose a mod that will allow me to spend far too much of my time looking at my Pip-Boy and our guest submission by gonzalo99 sees him warping around Cyrodiil.

We love to hear your selections, so if you have a mod you would like to submit to the community (not your own), please check out this new an...

With Valentine's day only yesterday, we have all decided to give you something that we love.

SirSalami loves a good hug every now and again, I have a love of Cola (which I really need to try and break off at some point), Terrorfox1234 has found a mod to appease his love of music production and JimmyRJump / HeavyEavy just love the additional playtime that Fusion City Rising has given them. Okay, they are tenuous links at best, but you're not here to read this part of the sta...

  • Staff Picks - 8th February 2017

This week, we have all gone back to playing two of the classic Bethesda games, Fallout 4 and Skyrim. SirSalami wants to be able to choose for himself what spells (if any) that he starts his playthrough of Skyrim with, TerrorFox1234 is doing a little bit of spring cleaning around his settlement and has challenged everyone to a 'Power Armor Display Off *', and I have been busy trying to make Diamond City that little bit more attractive and inviting.

We have two guest picks thi...
