Crusader Kings III is a fantastic game but has this drab grey-bluish tint veil over everything that every other Clausewitz engine game seems to suffer from. Needless to say that this shortcoming decreases immersion! This ReShade preset helps to combat this by freshening up the visual look of the game, raising contrast, vividness, and adjusting tint slightly to give the game a warmer, more analogue feel. It also adds a slight film grain effect (feel free to disable that if you prefer). The preset has no noticeable effect on framerate.
Installation
Install ReShade 4.7.0 (It's recommended to run the setup as admin). During install choose path\to\your\Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings III\binaries\ck3.exe as the target for ReShade. Choose DirectX 10/11/12 as the Rendering API. You can leave all the preset effect selections as def as default.
Navigate to the path\to\your\Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings III\ folder and delete the reshade-shaders folder.
Unpack this mod's zip file and copy its contents to path\to\your\Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings III\ (it should be next to ck3.exe).
Optionally configure your ReShade.ini. Make sure the paths to shaders and textures are correct!
Launch the game. ReShade status message should appear at the top of the screen.
Open the ReShade editor (Home key by default) and choose Reshade - Crusader Kings III.ini in the preset choices box.
Done!
