Steam users: I do not have the Steam version, so I am not able to personally test whether the savegames are compatible with the EGS version. Please use with caution.
The savegame editor will warn you if there are parsing errors when loading a save. If the save editor can successfully read your savegame file, it is likely that it will be able to write to it, as the editor is designed to be non-destructive and will modify only the areas of the savegame that you have modified in the editor.
Yeah all I care too much about is the levitate mostly because that's locked behind story progression afaican remember. Got really used to the inf levitate tweak making traversal and exploration way funner and faster to move. This game is sooo much better than aw2 imo. Remedy should have just done Control 2 and had the AW story conclude in a large DLC for that instead of making people still interested wait another 8 years or more for aw3 if it ever gets made. At that point it should just be a live action/cgi netflix release "finale" to AW story, lol
Did you figure out how to get levitate early? I'm pretty seasoned in javascript but have spent the last couple of years trying to get levitate unlocked from the start, but end up with a black screen at spawn when doing so.
The editor creates a .chunk file. The files in the save game are not .chunk though so when I rename it and drop it in the game dosn't recognize it, just creates a new 00_persistant save at the same point as the deleted one .
I really wish I understand that modder's page. That whole description section is either lacking specifics, or using confusing phrasing, like "Select your purpose." I have no idea what that means:
Are steps A, B and C optional? Independent one another? For instance, "C. Load this save game completely with all its files just because..." sounds like an optional step. What does it do besides adding cat ears? Or do I need to do all 3? I also don't understand what "B. Play just the DLC" means. Does that mean that the method B file only works for DLC? Also, that description looks like method C: adds cat ears. I don't see where he talks about removing them, and since he shut off posting nobody else can talk about it either.
Great editor. I'm running the latest Epic Games Store version. Everything seems to work, except three of the outfits don't get unlocked. Astral Dive, Tactical, and Urban Response.
Those 3 outfits are either PS4 exclusives or a pre-order bonus. In order to unlock them you need to run your game through a HeX editor or Cheat Engine. Cheat Engine will only unlock them for one gameplay session though. A HeX editor will unlock them permanently. Look it up on the wiki.
THIS explains why I can't do the hex edits!! The HDR/DLSS mod changed the DX11/DX12 exes. I've been banging my head against the wall trying to figure out why my hex values were not compatible at all... this explains it. Thank you so much! Going to uninstall and do a clean install without the HDR mod.
update: Reinstalled the game on Steam and all my hex values were back to normal. Was able to hex-edit the PS4 outfits in no problem.
For posterity's sake, anyone reading this if you have the HDR mod installed before doing the outfits, your hex values will be entirely different and incompatible with the how-to guides out there. Best to do a clean install of the game and edit the outfits in first before using any mods that tamper with your Control exe files.
Thank you SO much.. All I wanted was to play with the Asynchronous Suit from the beginning and thought this was impossible.. but thanks to your very user friendly mod I was able to do it really easily and can now enjoy the game while feeling cool af! :P Thanks again!!
I know it's been a while, but did you ever encounter any problems during your gameplay? Like not getting achievements or not being able to continue because you already own the outfit?
Just want to make sure that if I unlock outfits at the start I don't block myself from progressing later on.

I was wondering if anyone else experienced this?
Thank you so much for this post!
