Communion Gifts with companions are now infinite, justifying their equally as permanent ichor drain and making them into powerful abilities that define a hyper-specialized playstyle.

I've never been fond of Communion Gifts because of their permanent ichor drain that can only be countered through the backstabs, drain attacks and parries I rarely go for, and the fact you need to renew them every 1 minute just digging into that stock constantly. As such I created this mod to make them permanent (well, semi-permanent; it lasts a little under 3 hours which should be long enough for anything).

This is actually more balanced than it may seem for a few reasons. For one, the second your companion dies these gifts disappear, they're tied to their presence and thus you need to actively protect your ally; good fucking luck keeping a perma-Reckless Louis alive for your quick mobility, your ass will be fat rolling around halfway through a level if you aren't a god at aggro management.

Secondly, the debuffs can be really debilitating sometimes, you often have to play or build around them and sometimes their permanency may be a nerf in some fashion. Jack's Communion is an easy example: the second you activate it you don't have any more heals until the next mistle or either of your deaths.

Lastly, the powerful characters (Yakumo and Io) don't have strong Communions. Io's is essentially worthless and Yakumo's makes you fat roll while giving you a bit more attack and guarding capability. Jack, Eva and Louis are all poor units on their own but have incredible Communions that buff damage output tremendously when in use. The only exception is the Mia variants, both of them are actually very powerful (although not as strong as Yakumo and Io) while having one of the best Communions in the game, though it has the slight balancing mechanic of a higher ichor cost and drain than the others.

Overall, this is more of a mod that enables certain playstyles and builds so long as you can get around the weaknesses that come with them. If you're able to keep yourself and Louis alive through heightened damage output you get the full effects of quick mobility and Swift Destruction on any build, if you're confident in your ability to avoid damage over long periods then Jack provides you doubled damage output, etc. There's a lot of depth to choosing a companion and deciding if their buffs are worth losing an ability slot for.

There's also another file that just makes Communions last 5 minutes, if you don't like them being permanent.

As with any other pak, it goes in [Code Vein directory]\CodeVein\Content\Paks\~mods but you can also choose to install it with Vortex.
