Bloch: Your ship's mentalist. Specializes in reducing incoming damage, card draw manipulation and discard effects.
Core mechanics:
- On Discard: A new kind of action trigger. Actions marked with this will only happen when their card gets discarded during the player's turn (not by ending the turn or playing the card!).
- On Turn End: A second new trigger type. Actions marked with this will only happen when the player ends the turn with their card still in hand.
- Spontaneous: The last trigger type added with Bloch. Actions marked with this will only happen whenever a turn starts with this action's card in hand, or whenever you draw this card, once per turn. Cycling the card will not trigger these actions again until the next turn.
- Scry: An action which lets you look at the top of your draw pile and optionally discard any cards you want.
- Veiling Aura: Bloch's main trick - a stacking buff which reduces incoming damage. The damage is reduced before brittle calculations. It's also smart enough not to over-trigger against armor or temp shield.
- Feedback Aura: A stacking buff which nicely pairs up with Bloch's defense capabilities - whenever you are hit, your opponent is dealt direct hull damage.
- Insight Aura: The last but not least of Bloch's auras - it lets you Scry and draw extra cards whenever you start a turn.
