About this mod

Midgar Map is a flat map with Highway and Train connections and all resources such as Ore, Oil, and Fertile Land fully distributed in the entire map. Groundwater is also fully distributed to the entire map, so you can build any ground water pump anywhere you like. This map is inspired by the city of Midgar from Final Fantasy VII.

This is my first attempt at creating maps using the Cities Skylines II map editor. So, if you're experiencing any issues or any ideas, feel free to post your comments. This is a work in progress, so there will be iterative improvements to the map as I explore and learn more options in the editor and to improve the map with more built-in features.

Main Features:

  • Flat and symmetrical circular map.
  • Elevated highway connections with lighting upgrades.
  • Elevated double track train connections underneath the highways.
  • Large Water and Sewage connections to neighbours underneath the spokes and inner and outer rim to import water and export sewage when needed.
  • Underground high-voltage power connections to neighbours underneath the spokes to import and export electrical power when needed.
  • Underground low-voltage power line next to the HV line above.
  • 8x Airplane connections at the edge of the map.
  • 8x Ship connections at the edge of the map (although, due to lack of water, there won't be any ships).
  • Enough space for 8x Nuclear ("Mako") Reactors. Each at the outer edges of each ring sectors connected to the existing high-voltage power connections and low-voltage power line.

Installation:

  • Use Windows explorer to open the following folder: %appdata%/../LocalLow/Colossal Order/Cities Skylines II/Maps
  • You'll see folders with a lot of numbers in its name.
  • Extract all files into the numbered folder.
  • Start new game in Cities Skylines and Select Midgar as the map.
