High-fidelity hand-retouched HD background upscales for Chrono Cross RDE. This project is a WIP.

This project is an attempt to create higher-fidelity backgrounds that are less noisy and destructive than previous upscale packs. Each room combines multiple AI model passes with custom tweaks depending on the scene to get as close to the true source image as possible. In areas where the AI fails, some elements are manually repainted. As the labor involved is intensive, this project is an ongoing WIP.

Files can be accessed at the below location, and will be updated regularly as each room is completed:

Files just need to be added / replaced to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\CHRONO CROSS THE RADICAL DREAMERS EDITION\data\hd.dat\map\mapbin\
Since the pack is currently incomplete, I highly recommend supplementing any missing rooms with Tirion's original BG Mod:
