This is a set of multiple CRT Reshade Presets, which will emulate the experience of playing the game on a CRT TV as originally intended.

This is a set of multiple CRT Reshade Presets, which will emulate the experience of playing the game on a CRT TV as originally intended.
I have included two versions of the preset, the basic version is just adds scanlines, and slightly tweaks colours to make them closer to how they would display on a decent CRT back when the game first released. For a more period accurate look, I have included 'lossy' presets which introduce (purposeful) artifacting, blur, and ntsc feedback. They also remove the borders on fullscreen.
For the most nostalgic effect, I highly recommend using classic graphics with the lossy preset, and also adding my 'New Models in Classic Mode' mod.
Install instructions:
1. Download latest version of Reshade. https://reshade.me/
2. Put reshade executable on the main directory of your game
3. Drag the executable of your game on the reshade executable
4. Choose the D3D10, D3D11, D3D12 rendering API if you are playing the vanilla game, or choose Vulkan if you have DXVK installed.
5. Install all packages from all repos, and include https://github.com/akgunter/crt-royale-reshade/archive/refs/heads/master.zip (copy and paste the link as shown here then click 'Add'
6. extract all files in this zip to your game directory.
7. In the game press the HOME key and select the preset from dropdown menu by double clicking.
Choosing presets:
If playing in fullscreen on a 16:9 monitor, choose '16-9 - fullscreen' (you heathen), if playing in 4:3 in borderless fullscreen (As you should be. Respect the original aspect ratio, dammit) choose the 4-3 borderless fullscreen preset.
As this doesn't scale very well for 1080 screens running the game in 1280x960 4:3 windowed /borderless, I have included a different preset for that resolution.
If you're on a 4K monitor(3840 x 2160), I highly recommend going to your config .ini in 'Documents\My Games\CHRONO CROSS THE RADICAL DREAMERS EDITION\Steam\76561197995714535\' and manually setting the resolution to 2880 x 2160, and Screenmode to 1. This will get you the best possible image on a 4K display, in a proper 4:3 resolution. 'Graphicsmode' can be set to 0 for old graphics, and 1 for new graphics.
the lossy presets looks better IMO, I have included 3 versions, one for 4K fullscreen, one for 1080 fullscreen, and one for my preferred 2880x2160 borderless.
