Greetings , I'd like to ask you for some help regarding enb settings I am using and I hope you can help me.
I've contacted the person who uploaded this enb http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4142/ , and he didn't reply.
Since you're making these enb presets reviews on yt, I take it you have much experince regarding the same.
I am using enb that I linked you , and it's cool .. performace loss is minimal and colors and bloom are really cinematic,
only thing that is not working is film grain , I've tried adding code from other enb where it is working properly , but
it looks like in this enb it using different code, but by default in this enb there is no option to enable film grain cause
there is no lines that add/disable film grain .. (#define enable_grain) ,,, but other effects are using different code
    for example (#define HD6_vignette) instead of (#define enable_vignette).
I have some knowledge of these codes and now matter what I do it just wont work.
If you know how to get it to work please share the information with me.
    I thank you in advance.

Sorry if my english is bad it's not my main language.

    Fellow gamer.

Sorry, I've been a bit busy and haven't checked my PM's lately, but I can help you now.

In the "optional effects" folder you'll find the film grain options. Copy the effect.txt file to your Skyrim folder and overwrite.

I've allready done so and it messed up all other effects ,
I need to figure out the code that enables grain in enbeffects.fx ini , which in this case is different than any other enb

Are you trying to use files from another ENB with mine? Not a good idea. I suggest that you use only the files with my mod and not to mix them up with others.

      It works, try again.

I know .. I tried other enbs and I tried your enb and film grain works fine., the thing is I wanna use this porticular enb and I can't get film grain to work .. I'm using binary dll version 0.113 it that makes any difference , ty for trying to help . I guess I'll just have to play without film grain.. it's not that big of a deal. cheers

Hey, thanks for the explanation. Guess what, you might be in luck. I've made a preset for my Seasons of Skyrim ENB (HD6 Tribute) that will be the icing on the cake for you, and the film grain options work the same as with all of my ENB's. Give it a try.

Note: Use v0.119 with my ENB's.

It's unfortunate that HeliosDoubleSix (HD6) is no longer around......he's the "greatest" in my opinion......

Would like to see a video on "A Realistic Hope" (the one I have used the longest) if possible but I am going off to check out Opethfeldt right now since that is one ENB I haven't tried.

Please try the Opethfeldt ENB, as it has not been credited as much as it should. It's a "masterpiece".

See here, they even did a huge article about how great this game looks with mods. Note that the name of the ENB was not mentioned, but it is the Opethfeldt ENB. The user/mod-installer "Unreal" aka "ASO7" gets the credit for the beauty. This is very sad.....but that's how PCGamer.com chose to write their article.

What's so funny? No offence, but the way I see it, this is somewhat of a problem.

Sweet vid, I just wish confidence man would come back to us, I love all his old ENB's. But I'm pretty sure you are probably already aware of them Gopher.

Me too, but have patience. Check out his wip at the enbdev.com site.

Please note that his Nexus mod is set to "hidden" at the moment.

    hi Gopher

i know that you put a lot of hard work into you videos (not to mention time), but i just wanted to ask if you know about ....RealLike ENB by s3b3k87..... It's a great enb as it doesn't eat away your fps.. i use a mid laptop to play my games and i get about 20-40 fps (with all the HD packs ran through Optimizer Textures by AdPipino). i loose about 4-5 fps using the said enb.....

sorry if you knew this and i there by wasted you time.

Gopher you should take a look at "RealVision ENB", it's the only ENB out there that uses newer ENB version that actually work. The creator always answering questions and help people out.

Wow good work. This looks great. I think I'll come back to Tamriel after a few months of absence.

You gotta do a review on K ENB next. If your computer can handle it of course.

Being the author of K, and as 'strange' as it can appear, I don't think that a review of my setup could be usefull for users, or interesting even.
K ENB is engraved in the "no compromises" niche, and I'm myself still amazed it has reached such a level of popularity.
Most users are searching for 'realism' and I think Opethfeldt's ENB, as Bronze316 suggests, would be a good choice for next Gopher's review.
Thus said, thank you for suggesting about my setup, Selvec.

Im looking forward to see gopher review on it too. As for K-Enb it was great for what it is, but lack of support for image space modifier is a turn off for a lot of people.

Gopher I have always watched your vids. Love the work you have done and you are a very talented speaker. Got a small question that I know you have answered before probably a hundred times but what software do you use for the mouse clicks and such? The red dots and things that your mouse does in your videos.

I'm the author of Project ENB, and I don't mean to bash my own mod, but in my opinion the Opethfeldt ENB provides a greater sense of realism, although it has a few quirks.

Some of you may or may not agree, that's fine, but I seriously think that everyone should try it out at least once.
