Burnout Paradise stores the text used in the game in a custom file format. I wrote a program that can read and write that file format.

With the program you can open Burnout Paradise Bundle files in the LANGUAGE folder. The bundle files are actually a kind of archive. The language files in Burnout Paradise that are stored inside a bundle file also have their own format called a string file. The program handles this for you. To open a file, click Open and then go to your Burnout Paradise folder, then the LANGUAGE folder and select any language file you want to open.

You can then click "Export CSV" to export all the text used by the game into an easy to use CSV. Once you are done editing the CSV, click "Import CSV" to import the CSV text back into the Burnout Paradise Bundle file, click "Save" and select the language file you want to save it in.

If you want to edit the English text, select 0001.Bundle

The other bundle files are for the other languages.

Things I added for testing that you might find useful.

You can extract the file stored in the bundle file by clicking "Export Binary Object" and import by clicking "Import Binary Object".

You can open a string file directly by clicking "Open String File". If you click "Export Binary Object" on a bundle file inside the LANGUAGE folder you will get a compressed string file. You can open the compressed string file by clicking "Open Compressed". You can compress a string file by clicking "Compress String File" and the currently opened string file will be compressed
