Update v1.1:

Update v1.0:

- Significant changes since the original Playable Gloria mod. Which is why I've added the R to the filename.

  - No animations are replaced. Instead, only references have been changed. It was mostly references originally, but now it's only references.

    This mostly affects cutscenes/NPCs since many character animations are shared.

    This should eliminate any odd animation issues, and is much cleaner.

Description:

Swaps Seth and Adelle, so you can play as Adelle.

Instructions:

1. Place the PAK file playable_adelle_1_P.pak, playable_adelle_a_lite_1_P.pak or playable_adelle_b_with_voices_1_P.pak, and place it in your mod folder.

   Example: C:\Program Files\Games\Bravely Default II\Bravely_Default_II\Content\Paks\~mods

- Intro Picture (Difficulty Select Screen): Adelle

- Costumes and Costume Animations: Adelle

- Menu Portraits: Adelle
- Menu Name / Dialog Speaker Name: Adelle (see notes)

- Menu Animations (Equip, Jobs): Female, and Adelle specific
- Field Animations: Female, Exceptions: Holding lantern when dark, sword slash (cutting grass)

- Battle Animations: Female, Adelle specific
- Battle Actions (Victory, Battle Start, Running, etc): Adelle specific
- Battle Voices and Lipsync: Adelle

- Asterisk Catching Animation: Female

- Crystal Blessing / Special Music: Adelle

- Event Animations: Mostly Adelle, exclusive animations fallback to Seth
- Event Voices: Silent (Optional)

[Adelle -> Seth]

- Costumes and Costume Animations: Seth

- Menu Portraits: Seth
- Menu Name / Dialog Speaker Name: Seth (see notes)

- Menu Animations (Equip, Jobs): Male, and Seth specific

    - Two unique animation replacements (there was no male equivalent, and the female "fallback" was too girly for Seth):

       a) the unique Adelle animation hand on hip replaced with Elvis' hand on hip
       b) the unique Adelle animation hairflick / lean replaced with Seth's lean

- NPC Animations (standing in town): Seth

- Event Voices: Silent (Optional)

Notes:

  - Elvis, Gloria and NPCs are unaffected by the changes and will both function normally.

  - Both English and Japanese voices have been adjusted, so feel free to use whatever you like better.

  - The character name changes apply to all available languages, but require a new game* to work fully (names are burned into your save file).

  * Character names within the save file can be changed using the Name Changer tool available on Nexus Mods.

PAK File Options:

playable_adelle_r_1_P.pak

- Replaces the event voice data so Seth and Adelle are silent.

  Their lines have been replaced with silent audio files of identical length.

  This ensures that the auto-advanced feature, and movie cutscenes display the text for the correct length of time.

playable_adelle_r_a_lite_1_P.pak


- Removes the event voice references so Seth and Adelle are silent.

  The file size is much smaller since the audio data is untouched, only its references are removed.
 
  However, since they have no voice lines, the auto-advance feature will advance immediately after the text is displayed with no wait.
 
playable_adelle_r_b_with_voices_1_P.pak

- Preserves the event voice acting for Seth and Adelle.

  They will of course be speaking with eachother's voices. Some people might find that fun.

Costume Changer Notes:

Fully compatible with Costume Changer mod tool.

The tool refers to the characters by their original name, so Seth would be Playable Adelle (Character 1), and Adelle would be Seth (Character 4).

Name Changer Notes:

Character names are stored within the save game. Applying the mod to an existing save won't change Seth's name, and some references to Adelle's.
 
1. Run the Name Changer tool available on Nexus Mods, and select your save file.

   Default Savefile Path: C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\My Games\Bravely_Default_II\Steam\76561198611382745\Saved\SaveGames\

2. Change the names. Supports unicode, max limit of 16 characters.

3. Save file.

Note: Unique backups are automatically saved to <NAME_CHANGER_FOLDER>\backup when you open a save file. Just in case anything happens.

Technical Notes:

- New animations in the animation folder are unique transfers from M <--> F to prevent T-posing with missing character specific anims

- There are also duplicate animation sets of M files in the Female folder, and F files in the Male folder due to some animations
   
  resolving strangely, but they don't overwrite anything, and are not referenced by anything other than the switched characters.
