Linked videos showing the corrected version 2.3 save game files working as well as a video uploaded to hopefully help anyone effected by the error introduced with version 2.2.

Videos are just up so please allow time for HD processing to finish. If you're reading this at a later date, hello future people I hope the world is treating you well  and also ignore the HD processing part that's long since resolved.

The online save editor linked in the main description no longer exists. I recommend downloading and using this one as an alternative. It does everything the original one did and it's by the same author who made the profile editor I use too.

      Hi XxihatenexusalotxX,

The download is a 7z repository containing all of the individual save files, this is the intended behavior and not messed up. There would be multiple individual downloads with each one containing just a single .sav file otherwise.

You have to use a program like 7-Zip (https://www.7-zip.org/download.html) or similar to extract the .sav files first before placing them manually in your save game folder. Hope this helps :)

Thank you for the save. The game was terribly easy and now there is a little challenge.

Just want to point out to anybody else who starts playing with these saves, the quest says "Equip a grenade mod and talk to Lilith". Well my inventory was empty so I spend time to figure out how to import a grenade mod into my inventory using a save editor but the joke is you dont even need it. Just talk to Lilith (twice I think) and quest continues.

      Hi altamash,

Glad you're enjoying the saves and thank you for the kind words and for providing useful feedback for other users which is much appreciated. I never ran into that issue myself because I always redeemed then equiped one of the pre-order grenade mods via the in-game mail system.

You're workaround will prevent others from running into the issue, glad you got it sorted in the end though and added bonus, you're now able to use a SaveEditor and import items using their codes so win win perhaps.

Downloaded, unzipped and copied sav files into correct section. Do these mods only work with the epic games version and not steam? My copy is on steam @CaptainHappyTurtle

      Hi justincart159,

I don't see why they wouldn't work with any version of the game regardless of store front etc. (they're just save files) but since I only own the game on Epic I can't test to confirm my end.

Are you 100% sure you've copied the save files to the correct location? This article isn't great but it might give you an idea if it's the right location. It does indicate too that saves can be transferred between versions of the game so the saves should work fine with each.

This mod saved me so much time from running through the basic mode but I have one issue and it's minor. When I go to activate the typhon logs it say I collected it but it doesn't actually play the audio log. Any info on this would be great!

Hi swagswagswig, glad these have helped but also sad because I don't know why this issue would be and I honestly don't play BL3 anymore (let alone even played Tiny Tina's Wonderlands yet) so I wish I could be of more assistance but I can't today I'm afraid.

No worries man! Appreciate the reply. It could be caused by the redux mod as well. It's really not a big deal because I've played this game before.

Am I doing something wrong? I got the saves working and loaded. I just cant progress through the initial area because its telling me to equip a grenade and talk to lillith, but there are no grenades mods to equip... suggestions??

Hi joshdumahl, there's a pinned comment by altomash two posts above this with the answer. You just need to talk to Lilith without one equipped and it continues as normal. From what I remember she'll remark that you haven't one equipped sort of like a 'Alright then suit yourself' kinda thing.

For some reason, you can play with tvhm and madness mode, but you still cant equip class mods, artifacts or more than 2 weapons, which is rather irritating. any way to make it so its properly in tvhm?

      Hi Bovrinox,

Sorry to hear you're not enjoying the saves. These saves unlock both TVHM and Mayhem Mode from the beginning of the game for each respective vault hunter. They do not unlock class mods, artifact or additional weapon slots. Those unlock normally through natural progression during the story and campaign.

There may be a way to unlock those also using either a Save Editor or Profile Editor, but that was never my intention with these saves and I have no plans to update them to do so. Hopefully you find a solution to get the best of both worlds.

Oh I am enjoying the saves, its handy not having to paly the game again on the default incredibly easy mode, so big thanks for that! Found an editor on GitHub to unlock the slots, so its all good. For some reason it now flags the tvhm as being new with an exclamation mark on the menu permanently, but that's only a minor inconvenience haha

Huh I've no clue why it's flagging it with an exclamation mark menu wise but uh call it a feature? Glad it worked out for you and double glad you're enjoying the game with the saves amigo!

I just wanted to let you know that this is exactly what I have been wanting for a really long time!  There aren't any mods that I can find out there that let me do what your saved game files do. ( borderlandsmodding.com/ )

Thank you very much for doing all this and actually sharing it!

      Hi WholsMrJordan,

Thank you for the kind words and for taking the time to stop by and leave a comment. I'm glad you're able to enjoy them and have found a use for them in your VH lootin' lifestyle!

I made these for my own use way back but figured others would maybe get a use out of them too and thankfully they (and now you) have so it's my pleasure to have these here to share.

This is almost exactly what I was looking for. What I'd really like to do is be able to start a fresh character from level 1 in TVHM. I know I can edit the save and change my character's level. Is there a way to get the rest of the game world to scale to that? As it stands right now, if I edit the save to start the game at level 1, all of the enemies will still be at level 30.

      Hi demonwyrmX,

If there is a way to make it so it's beyond my abilities I'm afraid. All I was able to provide here are saves created using the tools provided by truly skilled individuals who may be capable of such greatness as desired.

Initially I had hoped there would be a workaround to allow for it but as stated in the description and from what you've observed, when you 'unlock' TVHM the game world expects you to be minimum level 30 so everything is scaled to that as a baseline.

      Hi SoupDiddly,

Thank you for the words of praise and yup same boat amigo, the thought of having to play each VH once then again just to get the player leveled experience and challenge and gear I want...just nope...not having that!

This is the way I felt the game should have shipped, give us the difficulty we want (some of us at least) right out the box so it's there for those that might care.
