   what advantages it gives by downgrading the game version? will all txt, SDK mods work fine after right?

      From what I've heard of is that it has lesser bugs (based from steam forum), doesn't force you to use SHIFT, removed BL3/BL4 advertisement, uses steam networking instead of gearbox's.
      
      You need to use text mods that's made for 1.8.5 which are the one made before 2020 february, I don't know for SDK mods since I've never used them.
