OpenBLCMM is a tool to manage text-based mods for Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and the standalone Assault on Dragon Keep.  It is a community-managed, 100% opensource fork of the original Borderlands Community Mod Manager (BLCMM) by LightChaosman.

Some notable changes from the original BLCMM:
  • It's 100% open-source
  • The Windows version is entirely contained in an EXE. No Java install is required! There's also an installer which will get OpenBLCMM into your Start Menu.
  • "Pure Java" versions support all current Java versions, up through Java 20
  • Support for Assault on Dragon Keep (including OE data!)
  • Object Explorer datapack handling is significantly different, and OE has various performance improvements

Note that BLCMM has not been the recommended method of enabling mod support in BL2/TPS/AoDK for some time now.  OpenBLCMM does still support the same hex edits that BLCMM provided, but installing PythonSDK is the recommended method for both enabling the in-game console and making the changes required for running text mods.

The official homepage for OpenBLCMM is its github page: https://github.com/BLCM/OpenBLCMM/, and that site is the preferred location for downloading OpenBLCMM.  You can also submit bug reports and feature requests from the Github page, and find the project Changelog there as well.  This page at Nexus Mods only hosts the Windows Installer.  For other platforms, or just to grab the "pure Java" version of OpenBLCMM, head to the github releases page at https://github.com/BLCM/OpenBLCMM/releases/.

For general BL2/TPS/AoDK modding support, or if you're having issues getting OpenBLCMM running, you can also stop by the community mod support Discord at https://discord.gg/bXeqV8Ef9R.  Up-to-date information on the current state of Borderlands modding can be found at https://borderlandsmodding.com/.
