About this mod
Changes gameplay mechanics to provide a substantial increase in difficulty, for players who found the base game too easy. Reduces enemy respawn time and Fight for your Life (FFYL) time, and lowers amount of health and shields recovered upon revival.
Compatible with Normal, True Vault Hunter (TVHM), and Ultimate Vault Hunter (UVHM).

Overview
*Enemy respawn time is changed to 3 minutes - this means that the player will have much more frequent enemy encounters and more likelihood of respawned enemies upon player death.
*Fight for your Life time (FFYL) is reduced to 10 seconds (15 seconds in multiplayer).
*Health recovered upon revival is reduced to 1/3rd; shield recovered is reduced to 1/2.
(Should be compatible with the Unofficial Community Patch and other mods)
Installation
(The HEX Multitool installation method is the only one available for the time being since the Community Mod Manager has not worked with BL2 updates since 2020 - it is recommended to make a backup of your Borderlands.exe file prior to following the steps below):
*Download the mod file, and place "Hardcore.txt" in your binaries folder. (program files/steam/steamapps/common/Borderlands 2/binaries/)
*Download the Borderlands Hex Multitool: https://www.nexusmods.com/borderlands2/mods/54/
*Open the tool and click "Setup Filepaths". then click "Select Path" and choose your Borderlands2.exe file.
*Click the BL2 game icon, select desired changes, and hit the "Apply" button.
*Now run Borderlands 2 and enable the console menu from the main menu by pressing your preset key (e.x. F6)
*Type in: "exec hardcore.txt" and press the Enter button
*Your mod should be ready to play
