Connect with your friends and play the game together fully online via Steam Remote Play as it always should've allowed.
Yep, this is fully functional...
To play, get Melonloader (preferably automatic installer), and install it onto your game. Next, drag the provided dll file into the newly created "Mods" folder in that same directory. After that, leave the "steam_appid.txt" file in the root of that directory, next to the exe. Finally, ensure you have Brawlhalla added to your game library (it does not need to be installed, we're just using it's ID for remote play).
Launching the game (through the exe, and not steam) after that should do the trick. It'll automatically enable steam overlay after the intro segment, then click the blue button and invite your pals into your lobby.
If you're having issues with remote play pausing your stream thinking the host is 'busy', press f11 until it fixes itself. That key has been effected by this mod as well to toggle between three different window modes, which can help with that problem.
