Installation
- Install MelonLoader for Blue Prince
- Copy GetLucky.dll to Mods folder under your Blue Prince install folder (i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Blue Prince\Mods)
Using This Mod
After installing this mod, you do not need to do anything special.
Changing Luck
The mode for this mode is configurable in MelonPreferences.cfg (i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Blue Prince\UserData\MelonPreferences.cfg). The setting must be a number greater than or equal to 0.
- Launch the game once the mod is installed, and then exit the game to pre-populate the configuration.
- Open MelonPreferences.cfg in the text editor of your choice (e.g. Notepad.exe)
- Locate the [GetLucky] section
- Change the Luck setting to a number gearter than or equal to 0.

Compatability
This has been tested with most of the MelonLoader mods on Nexus, and no issues have been found. This was created for Blue Prince patch 1.04 (April 30, 2025). It has been tested with patch 1.04.5 (May 22, 2025). It should work with future versions.
About Luck in Blue Prince
Luck determines the number of extra items and trunks to spawn in each room. Luck does not influence the rarity of draft picks, payouts in the casino, Trading Post trades, Commisary items for sale, or the items found in trunks or dirt piles. Most rooms have a max of 4 items; though many rooms have fewer max items, and some have items that will only spawn under certain conditions (e.g, the Lavatory will not spawn items unless you have the shelter protection or use the shield item).
The base luck the game provides you is 10. A Luck value of 29 or more for most rooms will result in the maximum number of items spawning in that room. The game rebalances luck every time you get 2 or more items with an increasing negative luck modifier. A setting of 999 is overkill, but ensures it can never be balanced below 29.
Verandas
Verandas and Spare Verandas (a 2nd tier upgrade to the Spare Room) add a bonus luck amount when drafting green rooms. The first Veranda you draft sets that bonus to +12, each additional Veranda adds +6, and each Spare Veranda (including the first) adds +6. Suppose you draft a Veranda, a Spare Veranda, Chamber of Mirrors, a 2nd Veranda, a 2nd Spare Veranda, a Secret Passage, and a 3rd Veranda or Spare Veranda. In that case, the total Veranda Luck Bonus will be +36. This is applied on top of your base luck, which this mod sets to 999, meaning the total luck before balancing when drafting a green room will be 1035.
The Lucky Rabbit's Foot and Lucky Purse
The Lucky Rabbit's Foot and Lucky Purse add +3 luck to your base luck.
Cloister of Rynna
The Cloister of Rynna adds +6 luck for every green room you craft off it for a maximum of +18 when drafting 3 green rooms from it.
Dowsing Rod
If the dowsing rod procs for the room, +32 is added to base luck.
Maid's Chamber
Each Maid's Chamber decreases base luck by -7.
Fountain and Curses
Tossing coins into the fountain has no impact on luck. Neither does being cursed.
Trunks
While luck does not determine the items in the Trunk, trunks themselves are treated like extra items in rooms. In a room that can spawn a Trunk, an Apple, a Key, a Gem, five Coins, or a Metal detector, if the drop target is 2, then there is a chance to spawn the Trunk and another item, or just two other items.
Dirt Piles
While luck does not determine the items collected from dirt piles, it does determine the number of dirt piles. The logic for this is controlled by each room; however, with high luck, you have an extremely high chance of spawning all dirt piles in the room.
