Using This Mod
After installing this mod, you do not need to do anything special.
Modes
The following modes are available:
The default mode shipped with this mod is SwitchedOff.
Changing the Mode
The mode for this mode is configurable in MelonPreferences.cfg (i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Blue Prince\UserData\MelonPreferences.cfg). The setting must be one of the following: 'Disabled', 'SwitchedOff', 'UtilityCloset', or 'AlwaysOn'. If an unsupported value is set, 'SwitchedOff' will be used.

Compatability
This has been tested with most of the MelonLoader mods on Nexus, and no issues have been found.This was created for Blue Prince patch 1.04 (April 30, 2025). It should work with future versions.

Installation
- Install MelonLoader for Blue Prince
- Copy DarkroomRelit.dll to Mods folder under your Blue Prince install folder (i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Blue Prince\Mods)
Using This Mod
After installing this mod, you do not need to do anything special.
Modes
The following modes are available:
- Disabled: The mod will not do anything, and the Darkroom will function as shipped with the game.
- SwitchedOff: The Darkroom will automatically turn the lights on and disable the blind draft effect when both the Utility Closet has already been drafted and the Darkroom breaker has been switched off. This saves having to walk back to the Utility Closet, but still requires you to draft the Utility Closet, enter it, and set the Darkroom breaker to off.
- UtilityCloset: The Darkroom will automatically turn the lights on and disable the blind draft effect when the Utility Closet has already been drafted. This saves having to walk back to the Utility Closet, and you no longer need to enter the Utility Closet or flip the Darkroom breaker.
- AlwaysOn: The Darkroom will automatically turn the lights on and disable the blind draft effect when drafted. The Darkroom no longer requires the Utility Closet.
The default mode shipped with this mod is SwitchedOff.
Changing the Mode
The mode for this mode is configurable in MelonPreferences.cfg (i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Blue Prince\UserData\MelonPreferences.cfg). - Launch the game once the mod is installed, and then exit the game to pre-populate the configuration.
- Open MelonPreferences.cfg in the text editor of your choice (e.g. Notepad.exe)
- Locate the [DarkroomRelit] section
- Change the Mode setting to 'Disabled', 'SwitchedOff', 'UtilityCloset', or 'AlwaysOn'.
