In the realm of Ebonthorne, there once stood a noble and valiant knight named Lord Mortan. He was renowned for his exceptional skills in combat and unwavering dedication to protecting the kingdom from any threat that dared to encroach upon its borders. However, fate took a dark turn during a fateful encounter with a malevolent sorcerer.
In a desperate and treacherous battle against the sorcerer, Mortan was gravely wounded, and a dark curse was unleashed upon his right hand. Despite seeking the aid of the kingdom's most skilled healers and mages, the curse's malevolence persisted, slowly devouring his hand, leaving it lifeless and mangled.
In his desperation to regain his former strength, Mortan sought out the enigmatic Obsidian Forgers, ancient blacksmiths rumored to harness the darkest forces in their craft. Through a forbidden pact, they crafted for him an obsidian gauntlet, a relic infused with potent dark magic and connected to the shadows themselves.
As the obsidian gauntlet embraced Mortan's severed arm, a surge of unholy power coursed through his veins. With each passing day, he became more attuned to the shadows, allowing him to manipulate darkness to his advantage. The gauntlet granted him unparalleled strength and a connection to the very essence of night, giving him the ability to blend seamlessly with the shadows, striking terror into the hearts of those who witnessed his haunting presence.
However, the dark curse that had claimed his hand now began to consume his heart and soul. The immense power he wielded tainted his once noble spirit, leading him down a path of malevolence and darkness. As Mortan's inner conflict raged, he succumbed to the allure of the gauntlet, embracing his newfound identity as the Knight of Darkness AKA The Obsidian Knight.
With the obsidian gauntlet, Mortan's reign of terror began. His mastery over shadows and dark magic made him nearly invincible, and he unleashed his wrath upon the kingdom he once swore to protect. Ebonthorne trembled under his sinister rule, and the people lived in constant fear of his wrath.
Haunted by the memory of his lost hand and consumed by the malevolent force, Lord Mortan became a villain of unparalleled darkness. Forever bound to his cursed gauntlet and the shadows that danced around him, he was now a nightmarish figure, eternally wandering the land of Ebonthorne, spreading terror and chaos wherever he went.
