Select the item and press "Equip"
Reach inside an enemy and hold trigger to grab their spine
While holding a spine, press the spell wheel button to crush it or release trigger to drop it
Once you're done ripping out spines, tap grip to drop the item
Definitely not just a heart ripper reskin
Note: If you have post processing enabled, crushing spines will have a visual effect
An easy way to enable post processing is with the Debug Menu Unlocked mod https://www.nexusmods.com/bladeandsorcerynomad/mods/2189
