These include: 1) Spiked Nodachi, 2) Jutte, 3) Kama 4) Shuko 5) Bo Shuriken and 6) Senban Shuriken as well as some wearable holders for the throwing weapons. Background:
This is my first foray into Unity, 3D modeling, and modding in general. This weapons pack is a work in progress and I plan to add to/improve it based on any feedback I get. The model/textures for the Nodachi are [badly] modified from SketchFab [https://sketchfab.com/detobrixen] as I was using this as an example to learn how to build prefab assets in Unity. All the other models were created and textured by me...it was a bit of a learning process...The general model CAD was done using OnShape and UV/shading/texturing was done using Blender. The model dimensions/scale/coloration were all based on various items I own. For a while I had added trails on all the throwing weapons but I haven't been able to prevent the trails while carrying the weapons vs. throwing them.

Thanks to:
I would have been completely lost if not for the variety of tutorials and guides posted on the Discord forum. A thank you to especially Drags, Zephlyn, Ebediam and KospY. Now that I am looking at the forum someone just posted a How-To on quivers...oops, oh well, gotta learn some things the hard way :)

Specifics:
  • Nodachi: Big sword, use two hands. Good for stabbing, slicing and clubbing with the tsuba or handle. If the blade gets stuck in one enemy you can stab another one with the spike while you free it. [To Do: I need to redo the shading because I think it's a bit tacky]

  • Jutte: Iron truncheon, use it to stop swords and whack people. Use two hands if you really want to tee off... [To Do: I want to tweak the colliders/design to actually trap a sword using the fork and then rip it out of an enemy's hands]

  • Kama: Sickle with stabbing, slicing and blunt damage
  • Shuko: Hand claws that can parry swords and seriously ruin someone's day. [To Do: Improve parrying and implement a way to trap and steal swords]

  • Bo Shuriken: Throwing spike that can be held in a throwing grip or in a fist for stabbing. [To Do: Tweak flight parameters, add velocity dependent trails, Fix throwing hand position]

  • Senban Shuriken: Throwing star that can be used to parry and stab in close proximity. [To Do: Tweak flight and add rotation, add velocity dependent trails]
  • - 10. Various holders built like quivers. I use the "More Slots" mod [https://www.nexusmods.com/bladeandsorcery/mods/562] and so designed these to be worn on the forearms but feel free to change the holder slot definition to carry them wherever. [To Do: Tweak and optimize the removal/replace parameters because occasionally the collisions make things buggy...sometimes you can't drop the holder but have to throw it away...wtf?]

Feedback:
I'm open to suggestions and some weapon requests. I think adding a ninja costume element would be pretty cool. Please let me know of any bugs/conflicts -- I may have relied on damagers or something that is unique to my setup so I would be happy to add anything the package is missing to stand by itself. Also I'm open to collaboration or just help in general since when using Unity I constantly feel like a chimp at the controls of the space shuttle...as in I'll probably get to space but perhaps not in one piece...
Could use help with: 1) How to define hand position 2) Context dependent actions (i.e. do something @ give velocity) 3) Button click actions
