Change the color of your armor to whatever you want! I believe 1 is default color. One file is for player armor only and the other is for NPC armor only. They do work together.

To use, edit the Level json and set the R, G and B values to the red, green and blue values you wish respectively. you may want to increase the strength of them to overpower the stock color though, especially for lighter colors, but it works.
