The mask comes with full collisions and several different ways of being held other than on your face. The mask deals minor damage when you hit NPCs with it but can knock them out for 5-10 seconds if you hit them hard enough. You can technically put the mask on NPCs due to the power of collisions, but It probably won't stay on.
