About this mod
Blood Effects Overhaul Complete features new, bloodier effects added onto the vanilla game's blood, including new, higher quality decals that spray onto any surface, blood drops that trail along weapons, and blood pools! Several configurable options for the mod can be found in the game's Mod Options Menu.
- Permissions and credits
- Changelogs
New Blood Particles - New blood effects including flecks for standard hits and thicker sprays for dismemberment.
Custom Decals - High quality blood decals that can spray onto most surfaces, not just the ground.
Blood Pools - Blood pools that form when limbs are dismembered. The pools form underneath
the severed stump, so no Hitman-esque blood pools continuing to form
even after a body has been moved.

Customization - Check the Mods section of the options menu in-game for a slew of configuration options, allowing you to adjust various aspects of the
mod. Clicking a setting's name will give you more information about it.
Disable Vanilla Game Blood Decals
If you want to disable the vanilla game's decals, which I recommend, follow these steps:
1. Go to your Blade & Sorcery Saves folder. This should be located at
C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\My Games\BladeAndSorcery\Saves
2. Open the "Default" folder. The inside will look something like this.
3. Open the "Options.opt" file (it will just be called "Options" if you
have file extensions off) with Notepad or another text editing software.
You can do this by right-clicking, selecting "Open with...", and
selecting Notepad (or an alternative).

4. Find the line that says
"Max Decals": 50,
and change it to "Max Decals": 0,
then save and close the file. You can do the opposite to re-enable vanilla decals if you so choose.
