About this mod
Adds a Vergil Boss fight atop the temen-ni-gru from DMC 3. He uses custom attacks, such as judgement cut, rapid slash, and trick.
- Permissions and credits
Adds the Vergil 1 boss fight from Mission 7 of DMC 3.
Vergil has 10000 HP, and uses several custom attacks.
He has a few combo strings from the base game, and a few basic swings from DMC 5.
He has some special attacks aswell, Trick (he will teleport away or towards you, depending on his current distance), Judgement cut, and Rapid Slash.
To play the boss fight, go to the world map and select "Vergil Boss 1" and travel, walk up the stairs to initiate the cutscene (skippable, theres a button to the right once youre up there)
Once his health reaches 0, an ending cutscene will play. The only thing you need to do is strike his sword once the dialogue finishes, then the rest plays out on its own.
IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO USE THE WEAPONS INCLUDED IN THIS MOD TO FIGHT VERGIL, THERE IS A SET OF ARMOR FOR DMC 3 DANTE, THE REBELLION, AND EBONY AND IVORY. DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT HIM DYING TOO QUICKLY IF YOU ARENT USING THESE WEAPONS, I AM NOT GOING TO LISTEN TO ANYONE WHO SAYS THEY INSTALLED VERGIL INSTANT KILLER GUN AND KILLED HIM IN 0.1S AND NEEDS HEALTH BUFFS.
ALSO, DO NOT HAVE ANY MODS THAT AFFECT CREATURES INSTALLED WHILE USING THIS MOD, THIS MOD RELIES ON THE BASE GAME CREATURES, AND IF YOU HAVE A MOD THAT CHANGES THEM, IT WILL CAUSE ISSUES. I HAVE ALREADY SEEN SEVERAL TIMES WHERE SOMEONE HAS A MOD THAT AFFECTS THE BASE GAME CREATURES AND IT CAUSES VERGIL TO INSTA DIE WHEN YOU HIT HIM
There are a few weapons and armors included for you to use against vergil.
DMC 3 Dante armor
Rebellion (Trigger to stinger)
Ebony and Ivory (Trigger to fire, alt use to spin. Hold trigger to charge them, for 2 new shots, bullet storm and jackpot)
There are also 3 new spells, Sword master, Gunslinger, and Devil Trigger.
Swordmaster allows you to recall rebellion when thrown (select swordmaster, throw rebellion, then charge swordmaster)
Gunslinger gives an alt fire to ebony and ivory (burst mode for ivory, stronger shot for ebony)
Devil Trigger transforms the dmc 3 dante armor into his devil trigger version. This is only cosmetic.
This is more of a proof of concept mod, this is part of a larger mod ive been working on for a few months now, but with how long its taking i figured id release this as its own thing for now. This is my first attempt at making bosses, so give feedback on what i should change. If you want to follow the development of this larger mod, you can join my discord server.
(also just a side note i am not exactly an animator so the cutscenes dont look amazing)
