Simple registry edit to enable High CPU and Disk Priority for the Black Myth: Wukong executable. This can help with performance on weaker CPUs and slower disks. Helps reduce stuttering on all CPUs and disks. A performance improvement is not guaranteed, and can sometimes be worse (though unlikely). Your mileage may vary. The main improvement this mod can provide is a reduction in stuttering, even if FPS stays the same.

Being a UE5 game, BMWK is very CPU intensive, and this can help address that by ensuring the CPU is not being interrupted by other tasks while you are playing.

See the difference!
Even in GPU-limited scenarios, this mod still has an enormous effect!

This does not change the game files and will not break on updates.

Installation:

Just run the "Install" .reg file to enable the change. Double-click on the file and select "Yes".

Run the "Uninstall" .reg file to remove the change if you run into any issues.

  • Optional File is available for "Above Normal" priority if you have issues with High.
  • You only have to run the file once, and it will be set until you Uninstall.
  • You can run the files from any folder.
  • You need to be able to edit the registry (Administrator in Windows).

Sidenote

If anyone is curious - There is another mod on Nexus that also sets "RAM" priority. This is completely useless as the "Normal" priority is the highest level available and is already the default. There is no reason to use that other mod and the uploader of that mod simply copied my mods I have been making for months. You can check the upload history to see for yourself. The other mod author blocked me when I informed him that the RAM tweak is useless.

This can also be accomplished with "Process Lasso" by Bitsum, if you prefer to use that (I also use it). These registry files just provide a simple solution so you don't need any additional software. There are many ways to make this edit, actually, this is just an easy and convenient one that requires no technical knowledge.

Let me know in the comments how it works for you.
