About this mod
This mod for Bioshock Remastered (2016) greatly increases the limits on ammunition, money, eve and med hypos in your inventory. You can now loot every safe, container, splicer body, etc. without the dreaded "Cannot carry more: (Item)."
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
- Changelogs
The Deep Pockets mod lets you keep everything you pick up. This effectively enables you to use your favourite ammunition or plasmids virtually as much as you want—no cheats necessary!
As the game is not balanced for this, you might make yourself slightly overpowered if your natural instinct is to scavenge, buy, and hoard as many items and consumables as possible.
Installation
- Download the ZIP archive "Deep Pockets.zip" containing the patched "ShockGame.U" file.
- Navigate to the following game subfolder: \BioShock Remastered\Build\Final\BakedScripts\pc\
- Make a backup of "ShockGame.U" and replace it with the patched file from the archive.
Uninstallation
- Replace the patched ShockGame.U file with your backup of the original ShockGame.U file. (You did back up the file, right? Otherwise, delete the file and let your launcher re-download the original by verifying the game files.)
Notes
- The mod is intended for Bioshock Remastered (2016) and is not compatible with the original Bioshock (2007).
- The mod is compatible with past save files. You do not need to start a new play-through to use this mod.
- The mod replaces the entire ShockGame.U file. If you have other mods installed that also change this file, those mods will cease to function if you install this one afterwards, and vice versa.
Bugs
The mod does not remove the inventory cap on Rapture Dollars. This is a bug.(Fixed in version 1.1 courtesy of @JG7834!)- The med and eve hypo counts appear slightly offset on the HUD when there are two or more digits. (This issue is fixed with TopDollar86's Modified HUD for Deep Pockets!)
- Dollar amounts above 999 visually loop around to 0 again. This has no impact on the actual amount in your inventory.
- Some weapon flavour text in the inventory appears garbled. This shouldn't affect gameplay.
- Crafting materials aren't unlimited (yet).
