Better Combat Light (CAC Compatible Version)
Better Combat Discord Server (REPORT BUGS HERE)

What is Better Combat Light? There were mods that I liked but they conflicted with one another, didn't work anymore, or slowed down combat for what they provided. So, I combined them, streamlined them, or fixed them so they will work with 1.9.1. Compared to Better Combat the light edition does not conflict with other mods as much in an attempt to reduce conflicts. Each setting now has it's own loader so anything can be turned on or off at will. Better combat would not be around if it weren't for these mods.

Which version do I need? What's the Difference?
There are two primary versions of Better Combat (Fully Featured, and Light) Fully Featured is not CAC compatible and Light is. Better Combat Full is in LTS (Long Term Support) and new features will not be added. To support the modding community as a whole the Beter Series was born so there so fewer conflicts and you the player can pick and choose what you want for your game without needing a dependance. No mod in the better series will ever REQUIRE you to install another mod. Once the better series is finished the entire Better Series of mods will be packaged together in one download. (CAC Compatible and NOT CAC Compatible.)

Better Combat Full - LTS Support only.

Combat Controller (Required) for this mod to work.

RunNGun: Allows mechs to sprint and shoot

ForceInterleavedCombat: Forces Combat Movement at all times.

EnableFewerHeadInjuries: Reduces Head Injuries pilots will receive. If you have armor and not in structure your pilot will ignore the injury.

EnableSimplePanicSystem: Pilots will eject (if they can) after they critical fail a guts roll too many times. This is a streamlined version which is under 100 lines of coding.

DelaySupportWeapons : Time to delay between finishing MechHit and shooting support weapons. Set to 5/10 to disable.

EDGE: Not yet implemented. This will allow any failure to be re-rolled at the cost of 50 inspiration.

[OVERHEAT SETTINGS]
EnabledOverHeatSettings: Allows the CombatContorller to use these settings.

Pilot's Skill comes into play when overheating a mech. These Modifiers will be used for each turn the mech is overheated. They reduce the pilot's skill by the amount show. Please use the following scenario-based example.

You are at the edge of your heat, now you have a choice. You have been overheated for 0 turns. Do you Alpha strike or back off? You pilot has a guts skill of 6. You decide to go for it.

Your pilot's (guts) skill is checked on a 1d10 and rolls a 5... phew... you beat the roll, or so you thought, because the first turn modifier below shows minus 2 (-2) this reduces your pilot's skill by 2 points giving them a 4... hope you have a case system!!

Overheat Explosion Enables this feature.
Ammo Explosion Modifier: This is a list of numbers used as a modify per turn overheated.
Shutdown Modifier: This is a list of numbers used as a skill check modifier per turn overheated where you could possibly shutdown early.
Heat Structure Damage: Structure Damage when overheating is percentage-based vs a flat amount.
Overheated Move Penalty: The hotter you are the slower you move.
Heat To Hit Modifiers: The hotter you are the harder it is for your pilot to hit.

[PILOTING SETTINGS]
ToHitSelfJumped: Adds increased difficulty to hit after jumping unless...PilotSkillNegateJumpHit
DisableCalledShotsJumped: Disables called shots after jumping unless... TacticsSkillNegateCalledShotJump
JumpStabLegged: Increased Stability if jumping while legged if pilot check failed.
SprintStab: Increased Stability, outside of combat, if pilot check failed.
MissInstability: Increased stability if melee miss if pilot check failed.
MissInstabilityPercent: The amount of stability to add after miss.
MissInstabilityLeggedPercent: The amount of stability to add after miss while legged.
PilotingSkillInstabilityMitigation: Reduces stability damage based on pilot skill check.
PilotingSkillFallingDamageMitigation: Reduces fall damage based on pilot skill check.
PilotingSkillDFASelfDamageMitigation: Reduces self-damage during DFA based on pilot skill check.
AllowSteadyToKnockdownForMelee: Allows mechs to be knocked down after one hit if stability bar is full.
FallingDamage: Falling causes damage.
EnableKnockdownPhrases: Pilots say phrases (phrases.txt) when falling down.
FallingAmountDamagePerTon: Fall damage per mech ton spread over all locations.

[JUGGERNAUT SETTINGS]
PilotPassiveAbilities: Pilots tagged with this passive have juggernaut.
PilotSkillID: Pilots with this skill ID get juggernaut.
MechDefTag: Mech's with this tag get juggernaut.

[MELEE SETTINGS]
Show Melee Terrain: Show terrain description and danger description of melee destination, instead of hiding them.
Increase Melee Position Choice / Increase DFA Position Choice: Allow all possible melee / DFA attack positions.
Unlock Melee Positioning: Break the restriction that one must stay still to melee adjacent mech. (Like the AI does)
Max Melee Vertical Offset by Class: Max vertical offset of melee attack, by the mech class of the unit at a lower position.  Set to \"\" to disable. Non-mechs are same as light.  Default \"8,11,14,17\" which allows bigger mechs to hit and be hit from more locations.
