A Mini-Mod for Battletech Revised.
Multi-target becomes a default skill to all pilots (including AI) instead of a gunnery skill to unlock.
Save compatible but with known solvable bugs.

Description:
A mini-mod is a mod of a mod, or, a mod that changes part of another mod.

In this instance, while BTR attempts to make generalist build mechs more relevant, players were still inclined toward specialized builds similar to the base game.

With this mod, multi-target is now a default skill given to all pilots with the hope that it would encourage the usage of mechs with multiple range profiles.

Gameplay Changes:
All mechs (and thus AI) have built-in multi-target ability via the default cockpit component. All equipment that overwrites the cockpit also comes with multi-target.

Replacing the 1st Gunnery ability is 'Steady Aim': All weapons max optimal range is increase by 10% and chance to crit by 5%. 

Breaching Shot also now provides 5% crit chance on top of its default ability. Giving a total of 10% increase to crit chance when taking both gunnery abilities.

Installation & Uninstallation:
Drag and drop the folders with the other modtek mods. 

Warning: this mod alters files in the following BTR folder:
  • IRTweaks
So back it up in a separate folder. You'll need it if you want to uninstall.

The mini-mod is save game compatible with existing saves. So if it doesn't work out, delete the folders, then take the IRTweaks folder you saved and copy it back over to your mod folder.

However, any saves used with this mod would then be rendered incompatible UNLESS you reset all pilots that have one or both gunnery abilities. 

Known bug:
Existing saves with pilots who have learned the multi-target ability would require a skill reset for the changed skill to be in effect. You can do this by going to the Barrack menu and clicking SHIFT & left-click the Skill tab.
Pilots with high enough gunnery skills from the hiring hall may be bugged and would also require a skill reset.
