About this mod

A collection of tweaks to battletech game files to give a 'closer to TT'' with a few extra additions. The game is slightly more difficult in the early stages and will reward the player for optimal decision making.

This is a collection of various improvements to BattleTech to make the game a bit more similar to Table Top and can be seen as a Vanilla+ mod.   

No massive changes were made and the mod uses all vanilla files that have been tweaked and enhanced.

The mod requires all 3 main DLC packs to operate effectively.



Key Features
========

  • Endo-Steel, Ferro-Fibrous, MASC and CASE Ammo bins.  Mostly functional, not quite Table Top due to limitations of the engine, but close.

  • Table Top stats for weapons and equipment. Reworked flamers, Light Autocannons,, Tier 3 Infernos. Binary Lasers and Light PPC's to name a few.

  • Removable Built-In equipment such as Vector Kits and Command modules and balancing to prices.

  • New Signature and Visibility based off 'Mech Class. Light 'Mechs get a spotting bonus while Heavy and Assault mechs get a spotting penalty.

  • Progression and Abilities reworked,  a brand new skill for gunnery and steeper XP level gain. Forcing the player to make tougher decisions with pilot training.
 
  • Massive Career mode changes, increased starting money and randomised starting Mechs' from Medium and Light Mechs. (Excluding DLC)

  • Argo operation changed significantly, including operating costs, 'Mech storage, staff upkeep, jumpship travel cost and upgrades.

  • Mech prices use a BattleValue based system with higher buying, selling and scrapping prices, but with increased repair and servicing times.

  • Many tweaks to the simulation including heat, stability and hit systems, enemy AI, better contract payouts and much more.

  • Higher difficulty in the early stages.
