Update 1.3:
Fixed campaign not starting with ComGuard. Sadly, only with a workaround. The Commander Tags are no json files or manifest entries, but part of the MDDB. Thus I can't add a new one with ModTek. Because of that, I had to leave the ComGuard with the Soldier background tag. Doesn't matter for gameplay though.

Added Lore informations for some stuff in the ComGuard background.

Also I edited some more events to add and/or remove tags to the commander. See Documentation for details. SPOILER ALERT! :)

I haven't been able to test all events, as some of them have requirements that are not easy to meet. Please report any issues. Thanks!

To Do:
- Add more events referring to your background and add the chance to gain/loose additional quirks.
- Get a new Background choice up and running (need to find someone who can help me with dll files.)

What does this mod do?
It changes the commander's background choices and adds quirks according to your choices in character creation.

What impact to gameplay does it have?
On it's own? None. It's just cosmetical and helps with creating the character you want, not the forced 'noble birth' type of guy. BUT: If you add (a working version of) 'Pilot Quirks', 'PanicSystem', and 'Pilot Fatigue', the quirks will have the same effect on your Commander as they have on your pilots.

What changes does this mod make to character creation?
I rewrote all the backgrounds, to make them more interesting (in my opinion, that is). For example, the 'Aurigan Coalition Soldier' has been changed to 'Great House Soldier', talking about the military of 'your' noble house. I although added 'ComGuard' as a career option. In addition it adds quirks to the choices you make. For example, a commander who's familiy died in an accident and who then became a pirate, will have the quirks 'lucky', 'cautious', 'assassin', 'criminal' and 'dishonest'. As you notice, not all them are good for you. :)

I strongly advice to use the aforementioned mods so the quirks do have an impact on your game.

Only works with a new career or campaign (as you might have already figured out by yourself :) )
