All weapons included in this mod will have the manufacturer name Glory Arms and will have an additional sentence in their description: Overclocked by Glory Arms.
To Install:
- Open your BATTLETECH data folder, located in \steamapps\common\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets\data
- Copy the contents of the zip file into that folder, overwrite any existing files.
- You're done!
Installation Note: If you've previously installed Overclocked Weapons, this mod will overwrite every file of that mod. No un-installation required.
Compatibility: By default, this mod won't work with any other mod that modifies VersionManifest, shopdef_Weapons_all, shopdef_Weapons_base_0, and shopdef_Weapons_base_1. If you'd like to install it alongside other mods that modify those, you'll have to manually open up this mod's version of each of those and copy all things that end in _0-Glory over to the game's copy of those files. Otherwise, this mod only adds weapons to the game which won't conflict with anything else.
I know for certain this mod does work with the following mods without manually copying lines of code/data:
I haven't tested with others, but let me know if this works with other mods and I'll update the list.
Balance Notes: This version of the mod still keeps the game fairly challenging in my experience. It is definitely more favorable for the player, but bad play can still put you in a tight spot. You also won't be running around one-shotting light mechs with AC/20s with this version of the mod (though you'll definitely take out at least one segment in most cases).
Other Notes: This mod works with existing saves. If the weapons don't show up immediately in shops, you may need to refresh their inventory by waiting a few days (the default shop refresh interval is 14 days).
If you want an even more powerful version of this mod, check out Overclocked Weapons.
Disclaimer: I'm not responsible for this mod breaking your game. You should make a backup of your data folder before installing this mod (or any mod, for that matter), just in case.
