Skirmish Inventory Unlock

This mod may looks like Skirmish Mechbay Equipment Unlock, but also unlock mechs and works in a totally different way:

This mod does not change any data, nor can it unlock DLC mechs.

This mod does not add, remove, or edit mech or mech component.  It only suppress the mech and component blacklist in skirmish mech bay.
This means the mod is designed to be highly compatible with different game versions, future dlcs, and other mods.

Mechs designed with this mod enabled will stay the same when the mod is removed, and skirmish saves with these mechs are safe.
You can still see edit these mechs with the mod removed, you will just be unable to add new rare equipments since they are not on the list.

Because this mod does not change data, it does not affect campaign game and campaign saves in any way.

How it Works

  • All mechs that has "unit_mech" tag and any "unit_role_*" tag will be allowed.  The role requirement is used to filter out test dummies.
  • All components that is not component_type_debug, and name is not empty, and name is not AUTOPILOT, will be allowed.

Installation

  • Install BTML and ModTek. ModTek is optional.
  • Extract zip to the Mods folder.  e.g. you should get BATTLETECH\Mods\SkirmishInventoryUnlock\SkirmishInventoryUnlock.dll
  • That's it!  Normally.  If you don't use ModTek, move the dll up to the Mods folder.
