Simple rebalance mod to improve the usefulness of Gyros which provide hit defence:
Friedhof Gyro Osprey changed from +1 to +2
Friedhof Gyro+ Kite changed from +2 to +4
Friedhof Gyro++ Sparrow changed from +3 to +6
Each +1 gives 5% of hit defence. So the Sparrow would give +30% hit defence. Together with a decent Pilot and Jumping Jet getting +12, one can gain a max of +18 =+90% hit defence....well until the barrage of 8 enemy mechs had their go.....
Currently, in my debugging i found that the game has some issues when calculating the HIT CHANCE, at least when looking at the combat debugging logs. - occasional 2.5% are round up (ie worse for the player) - sometimes calculations are out by 10% or so...no idea why
This mod requires both the BattleTech Mod Loader and ModTek by Mpstark to work properly. (Huge!! Thanks to Mpstark!)
Installation is simple: Install BTML and ModTek if you haven't already, then extract this zip to your BATTLETECH/Mods directory.
