    Doesnt work. BTML and MODTEK installed Put in right place even used mod manager and listed it and other mods work too. No msg in menu. I modded the file myself not in the mods folder. BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets\data\milestones open in notepad++ milestone_305_sim_argo_start. Search for "map_travel_2a", and add underneath it "map_travel_3", Match the written format.Then open milestone_700_notify_complete and and at the top of the file delete "map_travel_3", and save both files. I reloaded my save to traveling to the weldry level completed the level and all was unlocked.

    Do not know what you're talking about, guys. Installed the game, installed this mod along with the 'Inner sphere map'. I see a huge map. Clicked the mouse - the ship flew across the border into the neighboring faction. It seems that everything works. Or there should be something special?

      You said it yourself, that's because of InnerSphereMap mod which works fine, not because of this one.
      That one does from the start of a fresh campaign what this one should be doing after getting the Argo.

    Won't load my save files when I put this mod in...What mission do you get the argo on? My next mission is called First Strike (travel to weldry).

    or not due it "editing" the map aswell?

      For all I know it might 'work' per se in that it doesn't cause any conflicts, but I think that the Inner Sphere Map mod renders this mod redundant as it removes the story entirely and starts you off with the Argo already in your hands.

    Cool mod.

    I was digging through the json files and I found some interesting stuff, using this mod's edits as an example:

    a) "map_travel_3" is the tag that unlocks the rest of the star systems.
    b) each star system that is unlocked by "map_travel_3" has that tag in its json file under TravelRequirements
    c) The list of TravelRequirements are defined in SimGameConstants.json

    So, it should be possible to add new travelrequirements and unlock each part of the map in other milestones... unlocking them slowly over the course of the campaign instead of all at once. Tags can also be removed in milestones, and both tag additions and removals can themselves have requirements of some sort.

    I wonder if its possible to tie the unlock to your character's origin story selection at character creation, and/or based upon faction reputation? That would be awesome.

    EDIT: It looks like we could definitely add star system unlocks to the character creation options (they're in the lifepathNode folder). Cool.

      Hmm, that would certainly be interesting, but with the relatively small chunk of space we are currently working with, there isn't enough room for all options to be relevant. For instance, you could tie Davion space into you selecting Federated Suns as your family's place of origin, but you can't do the same with Lyran or Draconis space.
