About this mod

Jumpjets are in abundance, and you can add them to every mech Variant, including the ones who don't initially have Jump Jets according to the lore itself. So I changed that.
Now Variants who don't have Jumpjets according to the lore, can't mount Jump Jets at all, like the AWS-8Q. It doesn't have Jump Jets in the lore, now it can't mount em'.

Permissions and credits

Requires ModTek.

Description:

Jump-Jets are in abundance, and you can add them to every mech Variant, including the ones who don't initially have Jump-Jets according to the lore itself. So I changed that, because Jumpjetting + Bracing is a little too strong in this game, I felt, and I am a lore nerd.

Now Variants who don't have Jump-Jets according to the lore, can't mount Jump-Jets at all, like the AWS-8Q. It doesn't have Jump Jets in the lore, now it can't mount em'. It literally has 0/0 Jump-Jet slots.

I scoured through Sarna.net and checked every available Variant in the game to see if they had Jump Jets, and now only a few remain, even some light mechs. I probably missed some though...

INSTALL:

First grab BTML (Battletech Modloader)
https://github.com/Mpstark/BattleTechModLoader/releases
Throw into "\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\Managed" and run the .exe.

Second, grab ModTek
https://github.com/Mpstark/ModTek/releases
If the BATTLETECH\Mods\ directory doesn't exist, create it. Install via moving ModTek.dll into the BATTLETECH\Mods\ folder. BTML will now load ModTek.

You can check if its working by checking the game version number in the Main Menu.

Third
Download Jumpjets Removed According to Lore - MTEK, move the "JumpJetsRemovedAccordingToLore" folder into BATTLETECH/Mods. Good hunting.

Do it yourself:
If you don't want to do this, easiest thing to do is to just make the changes yourself with Notepad ++.
Just open any file inside the chassis folder (battletech_data/streamingassets/data/chassis) and hit CTRL+F, search for "MaxJumpjets", and you're good to alter that number to whatever you want on any chassis you want.

COMPATIBILTY:

This mod only alters the line "MaxJumpjets" in the JSON files, for many files. If another mod does this, conflicts may arise.

CREDITS:
