    Temporary TGBF Kicker (Temporary Version)

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: Brandon Davids

This is DDDandrew again. Heres a file for you server managers out there that are having quarrels with players! Here is a quote from the producers: I've released a Temporary version of Kicker PRO for my customers and faithful users. This will allow you to direct connect to a 1.6 server, warn/kick/ban players. There is no map support yet, I'm not sure if the Hotkeys or Text-2-Speech are still working. (I have a completely different Speech SDK on my system, so it doens't work on mine.) The new Kicker version will be a port of the BFC3 client. It features many enhancments and optimizations. It will run much smoother and faster, has a better skin, a more advanced Text-2-Speech Engine, much more responsive hotkeys and will get Voice Recognition in the future too. I'm being pulled in all different directions right now and I'm working as hard as I can to make everyone happy. This release has no copy protection and I haven't even tested it thouroughly yet, but theortically you should be able to direct connect to your 1.6 server and admin it. I make no promises with this version, so use at your own risk. You can report bugs in the forums and I'll see if I can get to them. The reason that Kicker developement is in a holding pattern for now is that the BFC3 client is a much better application and it makes no sense to program both applications side by side, when I can just take the BFC3 and turn it into the new kicker much faster. Download and install the latest Full Version from the downloads page and then extract this new EXE into your Kicker Install Folder. Well, I know that I am downloading it I love to keep my servers smacktard free! See everyone on the battlefield! Enjoy your download!

  • An update on Vortex development

It's time for a Vortex development update!

Since our last news post back in May we have setup a focus group of around 30 individuals who have been given access to an early build alpha of Vortex using a rudimentary design and UX flow. Tannin has been working with these users, taking on their feedback and patching up bugs that have been found over the past couple of months. At this stage, the core functionality is all done and now it's a matter of rounding off any rough ed...

  • We have a name! And a Q&A session with Tannin regarding the new mod manager.

It's been awhile since we mentioned our work on the new mod manager. For a quick recap of "recent" events, back in August 2016 we brought on Tannin (of Mod Organizer fame) to head up work on a completely new mod manager for Nexus Mods. He's been working on it along with the two original NMM programmers ever since.

Tannin's remit is simple on the surface, we want a mod manager for Nexus Mods that can handle modding for as many games as possible and that can be bot...

  • UX/UI Designer needed for NMM v2.0

Last month, we put a news post onto the site giving everyone an update as to the current state of Nexus Mod Manager version 2 and at the bottom of this news post we advertised a contract position for a UX/UI Designer. Despite receiving a number of applications, we have yet to find the individual who we believe can help us to create an intuitive, yet powerful piece of software. We are looking first and foremost at recruiting a member of our community who has the skills and abilities listed below ...
