I find tryout to be underused in vanilla, and too strong in many of the various mods out there. So, I'm striking out to find a balanced middle with this mod; where tryout is something that's used more often, without being too overpowered, while tying into other game mechanics (the retinue).
-Tryout now reduces the hiring price by the cost of tryout
-Tryout now reveals the total amount of stars of a recruit, but not their distribution
-Recruiter retinue changed:
-Now adds a 'Dismiss' button after tryout, to increase the speed at which new recruits are generated.
-Also reveals the distribution of the talents with a phrase.
-Recruiter no longer reduces tryout cost, was 50% less
-Recruiter now costs 5000 crowns, up from 3000
-Tryout cost increased by 10%
With 2.0, I offer two versions:
Verbose: Phrases are used to indicate the amount and distribution of stars.
Simple: Like in other mods, shows the amount and distribution of stars with numbers and images.
I've added a forum tab where users can post new talent descriptions to add, as the variety is currently rather barebones.
How to install:
-download the file and place it into \Battle Brothers\data\ without unzipping.
