Hey Sato, thanks for all the great mods you do (been using the perk one for a while now!). I was going to suggest this in one of the 'All locations are scoutable' mods, but those haven't been updated in ages and it's more relevant to what you're doing here. What do you think about giving the Lookout the ability to scout locations that are always unknown in vanilla? Ideally it'd be great if it was a very rough/chance-based estimate that didn't always get all the enemy types and amounts correct, but that's probably a much bigger undertaking (if even possible). I like the extra sight range but overall the lookout always feels like it underperforms compared to some of the other retinue members, so it'd be a nice buff.
Also, this might be a dumb question but how compatible is this with Legends? I assume it will just replace the changes Legends does and be fine, but I don't know if it'll break something in the background, considering how big that mod is.

      Hey Balathor,

      Glad you're enjoying the mods!

Re: the Lookout, I've actually gone through a couple thoughts on how to buff them but haven't landed on anything I really like. Have definitely considered doing something like what you suggest - the problem is that it has too much overlap with Poachers, imo. I don't Retinue members should replace origin buffs (although they are very similar), and it's hard to figure out something that doesn't collide with poachers. Maybe something about what kind of loot a camp has, but that doesn't feel very thematic. I dunno. I'll give it some more thought - if you think of any other ideas, please share those too.

Re: Legends, Rule actually expressed interest in integrating these (or at least, Scout/Agent) into the mod - that may show up in future test builds. In the meantime, I'd assume these aren't compatible, but they might be. Maybe worth giving it a try and seeing? Should be easy to test with the Agent, at least. Let me know what you find out if you do.

Damn, it's been two months already! I've been meaning to drop by and tell you that the mod seems compatible with Legends out of the box (and doesn't override their custom requirements for retinue members), sadly I haven't been able to test the Agent specifically, as it's been a busy couple of months and neither my test game or my main game got me to high enough relations to be able to unlock her. I'm betting it works fine though, as both the Guide and the Negotiator were working as intended.
On the topic of the Lookout, perhaps it should give you an extra boost to the radius for finding locations, or help with jobs that require you to track an enemy party or location down (perhaps having a bigger radius only towards that specific job-related thing). But that's assuming those can be separated from the normal view radius, and that doing so would be achievable with the mod tools. A simpler (though rather underwhelming) buff could be giving you an exact number of each enemy type in a party, but I think it's hard-coded to work in brackets of 'X to Y wardogs' so maybe it's not possible to get that to work.

Hey, thanks for following up. The latest test builds of Legends have this mod (in its current form) integrated. Pretty sure the latest build on Nexus does too - if you have Legends, no need to download anything here.

That's unrelated to this mod - can just ask that kind of question in a DM.

The first one just checks to make sure the player exists before trying to change a property on it.

1=As for scout: what about hills, mountains, sand, water etc?
2=incompatible with Stronger Retinue Members ?
    Thanks.

      1) Technically speaking, it's anything with a base speed mult of 0.65 or below. This includes Forests, Hills, and anything slower than those.
      2) No clue, but I would expect there to be weird interactions with the Agent. Scout's probably fine, one of the mods will take precedence over each other.
